It is with regret that we note the following deaths from Counties Cavan and Monaghan over the past few days, as reported on RIP.ie

Roisín McAdam

Aghnadargan, Drung, Cavan

Roisín McAdam, formerly of Aghnadargan, Drung, Co. Cavan and Castlemanor Nursing Home, Cavan Town. Wednesday May 22nd, 2024, peacefully in the loving care of her family and the staff at Castlemanor Nursing Home, Cavan. Pre deceased by her parents Patsy and Rose McAdam and her twin sister Geraldine.

Roisín will be very sadly missed and dearly loved by her loving family, brother Padraig McAdam (Clare) Baileboro, sister Janette Carney (Joe) Drumglen Close, Swellan, Cavan, sister Siobhán McCahill, (Martin) Derrycramph, Cavan, Brian McAdam (Kathleen) Drung, and sister Fionnuala Dolan (Seamus) Belturbet, Aunts Anna Cummins, Galway and Mairéad Turner, Co. Clare, nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces, cousins all her relatives and friends.

Reposing at the McMahon Funeral Home, Farnham Road, Cavan H12C821 tomorrow evening (Thursday) from 5pm until 7pm. Removal on Friday morning to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Drung arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am. Following Mass, the cortege will travel to Drung cemetery for committal prayers and burial in the Family plot with her parents and twin sister Geraldine.

Tom McCaffrey

Glenconnor, Ballyhaise, Cavan, H12 P592

Tom McCaffrey, Glenconnor, Ballyhaise, Co Cavan, Monday May 20th, peacefully at home. Beloved husband of the late Geraldine. Pre-deceased by his parents Benny and Lena and his sister in law Bernie. Sadly missed by his loving family, sons Brian (Michelle), and Sean, daughters Marie, Irene (Johan) and Evelyn, sisters Bernadette and Betsey, his adored grandchildren, Rory Senan and louie, Brother in law Gerard sisters in law Una, Kathleen, Carmel and Mary, nephews, nieces, neighbours, relatives and many friends.

Reposing at his home today, Wednesday, from 8.00pm until 10.00pm and again tomorrow, Thursday, from 4.00pm until 8.00pm. Removal on Friday morning at 10.30am to St Patrick’s Church, Castletara to arrive for Requiem Mass at 11.00am, interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

Formerly of Hillhall, Glaslough, County Monaghan. 20th May peacefully at Drumbear Nursing Home, Monaghan.

Lovingly remembered by his wife Mary, sons John, David, Kenneth, Mark, daughter Martina (Tina) grandchildren Kevin, Stephen, David and all the family circle.

Funeral will take place on Tuesday the 28 th May at 2 pm in St Salvator's Church, Glaslough. Burial afterwards in the Caledon Road graveyard Glaslough.

The death has occurred of Marie McArdle. Radrumskeane, Carrickmacross. 22nd May 2024. Unexpectedly, surrounded by her cherished family, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda.

Predeceased by her parents Patrick & Bridget, her infant twin sisters Catherine & Mary, her brother Liam and her aunty Molly.

Sadly missed and remembered with love by her beloved family; her daughter Sarah, her brother Pat, her sisters-in-law Marie & Sheila, her extended family, neighbours & friends.

MAY SHE REST IN PEACE.

Marie will repose at Lonergan Funeral Directors Funeral Home, Carrickmacross, A81 D328, on Friday, 24th May, from 4pm until 7pm.

Marie's funeral cortège will leave her home, Radrumskeane, on Saturday, 25th May, proceeding to St. Enda's Church, Killanny, arriving for Funeral Mass at 12 noon followed by private cremation.

Raymond McCullagh, Mullacrock, Ballybay, Co Monaghan. Wednesday the 22nd of May, peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his daughter Olga and his brother George. Beloved husband of Evelyn, loving father of Jackie, Audrey, Lorna, Roy, Trevor and Pamela. Sadly missed by his daughters-in-law Sandra and Maeve, sons-in-law Mervyn, Walter and Damian, his eighteen adored grandchildren, his sister Jean, brother Alex, sister-in-law Edie, brother-in-law Hubert, nieces, nephews, cousins extended family, neighbours and many friends.

Reposing at his home on Thursday the 23rd and Friday the 24th of May from 2pm until 8pm. Removal to Clontibret Presbyterian Church, Braddox, Co Monaghan (V18V340) on Saturday the 25th of May to arrive for 2pm funeral service, followed by interment afterwards in Derryvally, Graveyard, Ballybay, Co Monaghan (A75Y021).

House strictly private on Saturday morning please.
