New Principal for St Pat's College

Mr Stack succeeds retiring principal Christopher Rowley.

A new principal has been announced for St Patrick's College in Cavan.

Sean Stack will take up the role on September 1, 2024, succeeding the retiring principal Christopher Rowley.

He is currently principal of St Joseph’s, Fairview in Dublin (known as St Joey’s) since January 2020.

Originally from Clare, he graduated from NUI, Galway with a degree in English and Mathematics.

The new principal announcement was made by Tommy McGibney, Chairperson, St Patrick's College Board of Management.

Sean Stack will take up the post at the start of the new term in September.

Throughout his career Mr Stack has been involved in Green Schools, and as a TY, LCA and LCVP Programme Co-ordinator, as well as being heavily involved in promoting extra-curricular sports.

An inter-county hurling referee of note, Mr Stack most recently refereed the Limerick/Cork Munster Hurling Championship match, and was the fourth official for the Limerick/Waterford match last weekend.

He is also very involved in community games.
