Maureen Barry-Melly

(née Sheridan)

Castleknock, Dublin / Cavan

Barry-Melly (née Sheridan), (Castleknock, Dublin 15 and formerly of Cornafean, Cavan) February 24th, 2025 (peacefully) in the loving care of the staff at St. Mary’s Hospital, Phoenix Park, Maureen, beloved wife of the late Malachy and John and much loved mother of Noelle. Sadly missed by her loving daughter, grandchildren Conor and Kyle, sister Eileen, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Predeceased by her brothers James and Patrick (Sheridan).

May she rest in peace.

Reposing at Cunningham’s Funeral Home, Blanchardstown on Wednesday evening (February 26th) between 5 pm and 7 pm. Removal on Thursday morning (February 27th) to the Church of Our Lady Mother of the Church, Castleknock arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am followed by Cremation in Glasnevin Crematorium.

(née Reilly)

Rosehill, Mullagh, Cavan / Bailieborough, Cavan

Bridget (Biddy) Fitzgerald nee Reilly, Rosehill, Mullagh and formerly of Lisgar, Bailieborough, Co Cavan died on the 24th February 2025, peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Lisdarn Unit, Cavan. Predeceased by her husband Norman, brothers Sam and Peter and sisters Mary and Kate.

Deeply regretted by her loving family, daughter Ashling, sons Noel (Tracey), Clifford (Emma), Richard (Tara), James (Michelle), Raphael (Elaine), Martin, Declan (Catriona) and Jason (Anita), sister Sadie, brothers Patsy and Robert, daughters-in-law, her partner Ralph Foster, 17 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, her lifelong friend Nellie Brady, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Clarke's Funeral Home, Bailieborough on Wednesday 26th February from 5pm - 8pm. Removal from her residence on Thursday morning to arrive at St. Killian's Church, Mullagh for Funeral Mass at 11 o'clock. Burial afterwards in Mullagh Church Of Ireland graveyard (Teampall Cheallaigh).

Donations in lieu, if desired, to Cavan Monaghan Palliative Care.

Oliver Mee 19 New Line, Cootehill, Co. Cavan February 23rd 2025 peacefully at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his son-in-law Ray McMullen, brothers and sister. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his heartbroken family, his loving wife and best friend Mary, daughters Jane, Carmel (PJ) and Caroline (John Anthony), grandchildren Sarah Louise, Niamh, Rian, Bronagh, Diarmuid, nieces, nephew, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at his daughter Jane’s residence Station Road, Cootehill (H16 KI64) today Monday from 5pm to 8pm, also this Tuesday from 2 to 9pm. Removal leaving his daughters residence on Wednesday at 1.30pm (via New Line), to arrive at St Michael’s Church, Cootehill for 2pm funeral mass, followed by burial afterwards in St Michael’s Cemetery, Cootehill.

Drumavaddy, Carrickaboy, Cavan

Paddy Sheanon, Enfield, London and late of Drumavaddy, Carrickaboy, Co Cavan. Passed away peacefully 13th January 2025 after a short illness in London. Predeceased by this parents Patrick and Kathleen. Dearly beloved husband of Cecila. Sadly missed by his loving wife and her children Leslie and Anthony. A much love brother to John (Kathleen), Kathleen Ward (Jim) and Ann Flynn. He will be sadly missed by his nephews, nieces and his wide circle of friends.

Predeceased by parents Johnny and Nora, brothers Jimmy and Paul. Fondly remembered by sisters Eileen (Surrey) and Nora (London) brothers Gerald (Cavan), Micheal (Galway), Martin and Connie (The Netherlands). Monaghan, Sunday 23rd February 2025, unexpectedly surrounded by her loving family at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. Recently predeceased by her loving husband, Gerry. Removal on Thursday morning from her residence via Monaghan Street on foot to St. Joseph’s Church, Carrickmacross arriving for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Carrickmacross.

The death has occurred of Paddy (Patrick) Hand. Granarogue & Drummond Etra, Carrickmacross. 24th February 2025. Peacefully, in the wonderful care of the staff of Kilmainhamwood Nursing Home.

Predeceased by his parents Bernard & Kate.

Sadly missed and remembered with love by his cherished family; his brother Paul & his sister-in-law Carmel, his nephews & nieces; Declan, Colm, Amanda, Mel & Vicky, his extended family, friends & neighbours.

Paddy's funeral cortège will leave the funeral home on Wednesday, 26th February, proceeding on foot to St. Joseph's Church, Carrickmacross, arriving for Funeral Mass at 1pm followed by burial in St John The Evangelist cemetery, Raferagh.
