Hurling: Clare face battle to qualify after loss to Tipperary
All-Ireland hurling champions Clare now face a battle to qualify in the Munster championship.
The Banner were beaten 4-18 to 2-21 by Tipperary in their round 3 game in Ennis this evening.
John McGrath and Andrew Ormond scored two goals each for the visitors with Mark Rodgers and a Tony Kelly penalty hitting the net for Clare.
It leaves the hosts on one point from their opening three games of the provincial championships.
Meanwhile, Dublin made it three wins from three in the Leinster Senior Hurling Championship.
Fergal Whitely, Cian O'Sullivan and Ronan Hayes hit the net in their 3-25 to 19-points win at Antrim.
Cathal Mannion scored 17-points and Conor Cooney a late goal as Galway ran out 1-29 to 2-16 winners against Wexford in Salthill.
Kilkenny strolled to a 4-25 to 2-16 win over Offaly to keep hold of top spot in the group.
