The death has occurred of Mary (May) Farrelly, née Martin, Lisnagrew, Kilmainhamwood, Co. Meath, peacefully at her home, 15th May 2025.

Predeceased by her parents Paddy and Kate Martin, her sisters Beatrice, Kathleen, and Eva, and her grandson Seán.

Deeply regretted by her loving husband Michael, her sons Seán, Mark, and Enda, her sister Anna, daughters-in-law Noreen & Tess, grandchildren Keith & Nicole, great-grandchildren Aaron, Thomas, Abigail, Katie & Freya, granddaughters-in-law Karen & Grace, grandson-in-law Evan, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Kieran Bros. Funeral Home, Hall Street, Kingscourt (A82 R3W2) on Sunday, 18th May from 3pm to 6pm, with removal to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Kingscourt, arriving for 7pm. Funeral Mass on Monday, 19th May at 10am, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Gerry McCormack

22 Railway Road, Killeshandra, Cavan, H12 DY98

Gerry McCormack, 22 Railway Road, Killeshandra, Co. Cavan. Peacefully surrounded by his loving family in the tender care of nurses and staff of Lisdarn Unit, Cavan, 15th May 2025. Predeceased by his parents Margaret and Michael and his son Joseph, brothers Michael, Stanley and sister Eileen.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving family, wife Catherine, daughters Rachel and Rebecca, sons Jonathan and Wayne, brother Brendan, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, nephew, nieces, relatives and friends.

Rest in Peace.

Remains will be reposing at his residence (Eircode H12 DY98) on this Friday from 5pm until 8pm. Remains will leave his residence on Saturday morning at 10.00am to arrive at St Brigid’s Church, Killeshandra for 10.30am Funeral Mass with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Patricia Mcguone

(Née Gallagher)

Cavan and Sheffield, England.

Patricia (Pat) passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, 24th April 2025, in the loving care of her family. A devoted mother who will be greatly missed by her son, Martin and daughters, Irene and Ursula.

Recently predeceased by her loving sister, Kathleen and brother-in-law Tommy Cassidy (Lisnaskea), her brother, Tommy and his daughter Mary (Ballyconnell), and brother-in-law, Michael Fox (Australia).

May they all Rest in Peace.

Pat will be sadly missed by her sister, Anna-Mary (Australia), her brother, Denis (Kathleen), her sister-in-law, Eileen (Ballyconnell) and all her nieces, nephews and friends.

Eternal rest grant unto Patricia, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her.

May she rest in peace. Amen.

Pat will be received into Our Lady of Beauchief and St. Thomas of Canterbury RC church (Meadowhead, Sheffield) at 6pm on Tuesday 3rd June, with Requiem Funeral Mass on Wednesday 4th June at 10am, followed by interment.

Pat's family would like to thank all those involved in her recent care, especially St Luke's Hospice, Bluebird Care and the District Nursing team.

Fabian Greenan

Killeevan Glebe, Newbliss, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Fabian Greenan, Ayr, Scotland and formerly of Killeevan Glebe, Newbliss, Co. Monaghan, suddenly and unexpectedly in hospital surrounded by his loving family, Tuesday 6th May 2025. Predeceased recently, by his beloved father, Eugene. Cherished and much loved husband of Dawn. Fabian will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his heartbroken wife and their sons Wallace and Finn, Dawn’s parents Davy and Carol Campbell, and Dawn’s brother Scott and his partner Lisa.

While geography might have separated us all, he will forever hold a place in the hearts of his loving mother, Aideen, his siblings Darren (Fidelma, Killeevan), Olin (Anna, New Zealand), Lucinda (Gerard, New Zealand) and Blanche (John, Tallaght, Dublin), his adored nephews and nieces Nicole, Macayla, Katelyn, Conor, Jessika, Jack, Noah, Laoise, Isla, Ava, Sophia, Orla and Leo, and extended family. The loss of Fabian will be forever felt and impacted by his many friends and by all who knew and loved him, especially in the many organisations he served, his beloved Killeevan Sarsfields and Monaghan GAA, Ayr Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann (as a founding member), Valspar Football Club (Treasurer) and of course his friends, colleagues and students in Damilling Primary (Ayr).

The death has occurred of Hugh Daly, Cavanmoutry, Killybrone, Emyvale, Co.Monaghan, H18 WT28. Wednesday 14th May, 2025, peacefully, at Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his wife Teresa and parents Patrick & Bernadette. Hugh will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his loving sons; Enda (Margaret), Trevor, Darren (Siofra), grandchildren Nicole & Darryl and sister Christine (Paddy), Glencolmcille.

Hugh’s remains will repose at his late residence (H18 WT28) on Friday from 12 Noon - 9pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday morning at 10am at St.Patrick’s Church, Clara. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery alongside his beloved wife Teresa.

Kathleen Dodd (née Kennedy), 11 Derryolam Park, Carrickmacross, Co Monaghan,

formerly of Slieverue, Athenry, Co. Galway.

She will be sadly missed by her loving husband Brendan, son Cathal and daughter Roisin, mother Carmel (Kennedy) and cherished grandchildren Ronan and Fenian, daughter-in-law Lisa, sisters Ann, Breda, Vera, Margaret, Ita, Cora and Patricia, brother Paddy, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

She is predeceased by her father Eddie, sister-in-law Caroline and nephew Jack.

Kathleen will repose at her sister Breda’s home in Slieverue, Athenry, H65 RP70 on Saturday May 17th from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Removal on Sunday to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Kilconieron (H91 NH59) for 10:00am Requiem Mass. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Passed away peacefully in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital surrounded by his loving family, Thursday 15th May 2025.

Predeceased by his wife Dora (Née Durnin), son Tony, parents Harry and Mary, brothers Mick, Jemmy, Henry, Gerard, Leo and Tony and sister Mary.

Oliver will be forever loved and missed by his family, sons Ollie, Brendan and Paul, daughters Angela, Pauline and Shirley Curran, his much loved grandchildren Tony, Patrick, Tina, Brian, Andrew, Robert, Sean, Dylan, Thomas and Melissa, great-grandchildren, sons and daughters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Shevlin's Funeral Home, Barrack Street (A91Y3CX) 2pm to 7pm Saturday and Sunday.

Removal on Monday morning at 10.30am driving via his late residence (Marian Park) to The Church of The Holy Redeemer arriving for Funeral Mass at 11 o'clock, followed by burial in St. Patrick's Cemetery (A91F598).
