Road closed following serious road accident in Ballyconnell
Gardaí and emergency services are at the scene of a road traffic accident in Ballyconnell.
It's understood that at least one person has been airlifted from the scene.
A spokesperson from the Garda Press Office confirmed: "The incident occurred on the N87 near Black Ridge roundabout at approximately 7:15pm this evening (Tuesday), May 20.
"The road is closed and diversions are in place. No further information is available at this time."
The Celt understands that the accident may have involved a minor on a scooter.
A spokesperson from Cavan County Council confirmed the road closure and said "motorists are advised to avoid the area for the present."
