A conference exploring smart communities is set for Cavan this weekend.
The Cavan Connects Innovation Conference is a free, one-day event taking place on Saturday at the Townhall Arts Centre, Cavan Town.
Aimed at the curious, tech enthusiasts, community leaders and educators this event is being hailed as “an excellent opportunity to explore the future of smart communities through hands-on technology, expert talks and creative workshops.”
Guest speakers on the day will include Dragons’ Den star and RealSim founder Gavin Duffy, Financial Technology Entrepreneur and Academic Michael Dowling, and Communications Strategist Diarmaid Mac Mathúna.
There will also be open demonstrations on robotics, drones, virtual reality (VR) and 3D printing.

And, just added to the programme is the screening of A Cushla My Own Native Land, a groundbreaking 360° virtual reality film that explores memory, beauty, and loss through the eyes of people living with dementia in Cavan.
The Cavan Connects Conference takes place this Saturday, May 24 from 11am until 4pm at the Townhall Arts Centre, Cavan
