Dancing and competitions

Festival-goers can experience line dancing demos and lessons, led by the talented Gerard Butler, a renowned figure in the country music scene. For those looking to show off their best dance moves, the festival’s famous Country Disco, led by David Harrington, will keep people grooving well into the early hours. And, of course, no festival would be complete without a bit of friendly competition. The Best Dressed Cowboy/Cowgirl competition is a highlight each year. And, if you’ve got the moves, there is a jiving competition at 4pm on Sunday with a €1,000 prize purse! Or if you have a fine voice, there is another €1,000 up for grabs in the Country Star competition!

While the music is a central draw, the festival also offers a thrilling line-up of Western horse shows and even a Barrel Racing Competition. These shows provide a true showcase of the skills and techniques of the horse and rider, offering a taste of the American West right in the heart of Ireland.
