Walkers during last year's JFK 50 Mile Challenge

JFK 50 Mile Challenge on the horizon

Last year up to 700 people from all over Ireland started JFK 50 Mile Challenge, with less than a third (226) completing the impressive trek. In doing so, the annual event helped raise a total of €163,000 for the Irish Cancer Society, Cancer Support Sanctuary LARCC in Westmeath, and Palliative Care (Cavan).

This year the much-anticipated challenge takes place on June 7 - run, walk or jog.

From first-time walkers to seasoned athletes, people join for deeply personal reasons: to honour a loved one, to overcome personal challenges, or simply to be part of something bigger than themselves. The walk starts at 6am from Moylagh, Community Centre, Domone, Oldcastle, Co Meath (Eircode A82 RP74).
