Over €10k raised by Mizen to Malin cycle
A group of determined local cyclists from the Cavan and Longford have embarked on a remarkable 642km journey from Malin Head to Mizen Head in support of Cavan Monaghan Palliative Care.
Their challenge, stretching from the northernmost point of Ireland to its southernmost tip, began early last Monday morning will take place over the course of four demanding days.
The team of nine- eight from Cavan and one from Longford- hit the road at 6am on June 2.
Already, their GoFundMe campaign has raised an impressive €10,000, with donations continuing to roll in as word of their effort spreads.
The cyclists include Stephen Crowe, Kenneth McManus, Shane O’Neill, Mark Finnegan, Joseph Prior, Sean Grimes, Paul Carroll, Stephen Cassidy, and Noel Fitzpatrick.
Phillip McGoldrick is accompanying the group in a support vehicle, ensuring the team stays safe and on track throughout the journey.
