Mary Gallagher (née Prior) Knockacullion, Aughacashel. Co. Leitrim and formerly of Altachcullion, Corlough, Co. Cavan

4 June 2025 at her home following an accident. Predeceased by her father James and her brothers Thomas Joseph and Seamus. Beloved wife of Seamus, devoted mother to Brian, Niall and Shane. Deeply regretted by her heartbroken family, her mother Mary Kate, sisters Bridie, Kathleen and Christina, brothers Bernard, Sean and Eamon, sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Rest in Peace

Reposing at Smith’s Funeral Home, High Street, Ballinamore N41TD62 on Friday 6th June from 5pm to 8pm. Removal from her home on Saturday morning to arrive at St. Mary’s Church, Aughnasheelin for Funeral Mass at 10.30 am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Behernagh, Virginia, Cavan

The untimely death has occurred of Darren O’Dwyer, Behernagh, Virginia, Co. Cavan, tragically at work.

Much loved partner of Jamie and father of Saoirse, Aaron and step-daughter Paige.

Deeply regretted by his heartbroken parents Tony and Olive, brother Philip, sister Samantha , sister in-law Joanne, brother in-law Danny, nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins and large circle of friends

Removal from his Residence this Sunday to St. Bartholomew's Church, Munterconnaught for 2pm Funeral Mass with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery

The death has taken place of Peggy Smith (née Soraghan), Kilnacor, Crosskeys, Co Cavan, Thursday June 5th, 2025, peacefully, at home surrounded by her loving family.

Beloved wife and best friend of the late Connie and dear mother of Sinead (Gerry), Elaine (Ollie), Niamh (Tommy) and Alan. Her adored grandchildren Callum, Ruby, Luke, Néala, Croíadh, Órnagh and Fíadh.

Predeceased by her parents Con and Susan Soraghan and her nephew Cathal Miney.

Sadly missed by her loving daughters, son, grandchildren, sisters Kathleen (John Miney), Dympna (P.J Dunne) and Sue (Brian Walsh), sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, neighbours, relatives and many friends.

Reposing at Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan, on Friday evening from 5.00pm until 8.00pm with Removal on Saturday morning at 11.30am to St Matthew's Church, Crosskeys H12 FX68, to arrive for Requiem Mass at 12.00 noon with interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

Olive Duffy

(née Brannigan)

Tullycara, Castleblayney, Monaghan / Knockbridge, Louth

It’s with great sadness that the family of Olive Duffy (Née Brannigan), Tullycara, Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan and formerly Knockbridge, Co. Louth, announces the passing of Olive, at the Mater Private Hospital Dublin, on Wednesday June 4th surrounded by her family.

Predeceased by her parents John and Anna, her infant sons Edward and James and her sister Patty Marmion.

Olive, deeply regretted and remembered with profound love by her heart broken family, her devoted husband James, daughter Majella and son Trevor, son in-law Michael, daughter in-law Marie, her six cherished grandchildren Abby, Eoin, Dylan, Aimee, Mattie and Eddie, sister Phyllis Griffen, brother in-law, sisters in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and many friends.

Olive will repose at the family home in Tullycara (A75HX09) today Thursday from 3pm until 9pm and again tomorrow Friday from 3pm until 9pm.

Removal from the family home in Tullycara on Saturday afternoon at 1:30pm to arrive at St Mary’s Church Castleblayney for funeral mass at 2pm, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

House private to family on Saturday please, by request.

Please approach the Duffy family home from Doohamlet, as there is a one way system in place during reposing times and exit as instructed by the stewards.
