It is with regret that we note the following deaths from Counties Cavan and Monaghan over the past few days, as reported on RIP.ie.

Kevin Clarke

Drumbannon, Bailieborough, Cavan

Kevin Clarke, Middlesex, London and formerly of Drumbannon, Bailieborough, Co Cavan died on the 1st June 2025 peacefully after a long illness. Predeceased by his parents Aodh and Marie, his brother Aidan, sisters Monica and Mary.

Sadly missed by his loving wife Sharon, son Lee, daughter Kelly, grandchildren, sisters Eileen, Carmel, Ann, Bernadette, Rosaleen and Breda, brothers Joe and martin, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

May He Rest In Peace

Funeral will take place on Tuesday 17th June at 3pm at Breakspere Crematorium, East Wing HA4 7SJ.

Patrick Cullen

Rossmeen, Kells, Meath / Virginia, Cavan

Formerly Coronagh, Virginia, Co. Cavan.

Peacefully surrounded by his loving wife and brothers at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda.

Predeceased by his parents Josephine and John and sister Margaret.

Much loved and sadly missed by his heartbroken wife Bernie, brothers Sean, Christy and Peter, sisters-in-law Catherine, Cathy and Margaret, brother-in-law John Joe, nieces, nephews, aunt-in-law Edna, relatives and friends.

Patrick (Patsy) Reilly

Killygarry, Cavan

The death has occurred of Patrick (Patsy) Reilly, Aghalacken, Cavan. Friday June 6th, in his 97th year, peacefully surrounded by his loving family in the wonderful care of the staff of Medical 2, Cavan General Hospital.

Pre-deceased by his parents Margaret and Bernard Reilly, his sister Mary Conaty and his brother Charlie Reilly.

Patsy will be sadly missed by his loving wife and best friend Rita, daughter Marie (Kevin Cooney), son Martin (Caroline Lee), his much adored grandchildren, Padraig, Keira, Emma and Leigha, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

May his gentle soul Rest in Peace.

Reposing at Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan on Saturday evening 7th June from 5.00pm until 8.00pm.

Removal on Sunday June 8th to St Brigid's Church, Killygarry to arrive for Requiem Mass at 2.00pm, interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Ann Barrett

(née Holland)

Rosscahill, Galway / Emyvale, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Ann Barrett (nèe Holland), Ross Demesne, Rosscahill, Co. Galway and formerly of Emyvale, Monaghan on June 5th, 2025. Peacefully, at An Teaghlach Uilinn Nursing Home, Moycullen, surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her loving husband John and her brothers Tommy, John and Francis. Sadly missed and forever remembered by her loving daughters Carol, Sandra, Pauline and Diane, sons -in-law Kevin, James, and Gary, her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Sadly missed by her sister Bridie and brothers Jim and Tony, nieces,nephews, all the extended family, Close friends, Caroline and good neighbours.

Reposing at Aiseirí Funeral Home, (H91Y54A) Moycullen, on Saturday June 7th, 2025, from 4.30 pm with Removal at 6pm to the Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Killannin. Requiem Mass for Ann on Sunday June 8th at 1pm.

Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Family flowers only by request, donations to Galway Hospice if desired.
