Carlow Town, Carlow / Virginia, Cavan / Clones, Monaghan

May Hosey (née Brady) 24 Monacurragh, Carlow and formerly of Virginia, Co. Cavan and Clones, Co. Monaghan, June 7th 2025 peacefully in the kind and gentle care of St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of Jim and adored mother of Patrick, Gerard, Karen, Jennifer and Bernadette. Sadly missed by her heartbroken husband, sons, daughters, sons-in-law Tony, Darren and Eddie, daughter-in-law Liz, her 9 cherished grandchildren, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

May the beautiful soul of May Rest in Eternal Peace.

Reposing in R. Healy & Son Funeral Home Pollerton Castle, Carlow (R93 H308) on Monday (June 9th) from 4pm to 7pm, pausing for prayers at 6pm. Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 11am in St. Clare’s Church, Graiguecullen (R93 EO48). Burial afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery (driving to cemetery due to temporary closure of Dublin Road).

Monica McCormick

Kill, Kilnaleck, Cavan / Newtownbutler, Fermanagh

Monica McCormick, Kill, Kilnaleck, Co. Cavan and formerly of Conkera, Newtownbutler, Co. Fermanagh. Saturday, June 7th (peacefully) at the Lisdarn Centre, Cavan General Hospital. Predeceased by her parents Gerald & Clare and brother Aidan.

Sadly missed by her loving husband Eugene Farrelly, sisters; Miriam and Bernadette, brothers; Gerald, John, Thomas, Peter and Charles, sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, her many good friends and neighbours.

Reposing at her home (A82 K6Y5) on Sunday from 5pm to 8pm. Funeral service on Monday in Lakelands Crematorium, Dublin Road, Cavan at 2.30pm followed by Cremation. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired, to Cavan/Monaghan Palliative Care.
