Patrick SHAFFREY

Monkstown, Dublin / Bailieborough, Cavan

SHAFFREY, Patrick (Monkstown, Co. Dublin, Ormond Quay, Dublin and Bailieborough, Co. Cavan) – 26th June 2025. Peacefully, at the Mater Hospital. Predeceased by his beloved wife Maura. Much loved father of Conor, Clíodhna and Gráinne.

Patrick will be sadly missed by his son, daughters, grandchildren Patrick and Sadb, Patrick’s wife Caroline, great-grandchildren George and Arthur, his dear friend Herma, numerous nieces and nephews, numerous close and loved friends and colleagues.

Patrick will be reposing on Friday evening 27th June at Fanagans Carnegies Funeral Home, Monkstown (A94 XK28) from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday 28th June at 10am in Church of St. John the Baptist Blackrock followed thereafter by burial at Moynalty Cemetery, Co. Meath (arriving for 3.30pm).

Thomas Kevin Greenan

Riverdale Court, Knockthomas, Castlebar, Mayo / Castleblayney, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Thomas Kevin Greenan, Riverdale Court, Knockthomas, Castlebar and formerly of Corracharra Shantonagh, Castleblaney, Co. Monaghan, peacefully on 24th June 2025, at his home.

Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Mary (née Reilly) and his brother Francis (U.K) and sister Mary Reynolds (New Jersey, USA).

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Mary Ann née Hopkins (a native of Crimlin, Ross, Castlebar), his sons Terence, Thomas, Paul, Michael Francis (Frank), John Joseph and his daughters Geraldine and Bernadette, his beloved grandchildren Séan, Conor, Gary, Jeanette and Noah, his brothers Patrick (Paddy) Galway, his sister Bridie Talt, (New Jersey, USA), his nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, relatives and friends.

Tom worked for a number of years in London before returning to Ireland where he worked on the outdoor staff of Mayo Council.

May he rest in peace.

Tom will repose in Kilcoyne’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street, Castlebar F23 FD90 on Sunday 29th June from 5.00pm to 6.30pm. Removal from Kilcoyne’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street, Castlebar on Monday 30th June at 10.30 am, arriving at the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar for Funeral Mass at 11.00am. Afterwards, Tom will be laid to rest in the New Cemetery, Newport Road, Castlebar.

The Funeral Mass will be live-streamed on here or it can be listened to in Castlebar on the Castlebar Parish Radio 105.3fm.

Ruby Brown

Annagola, Ballinode, Monaghan

Ruby Brown, Latlurcan, Monaghan.

Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her husband Herby and her sister Martha.

Sadly missed by her loving children Ann, Robert, Jim and granddaughter Rachel, son in law Richard, daughter in law Ivy, grandchildren and great- grandchildren, her sisters Essie and Olive, brother in law Jim and her wider family and Friends.

Ruby will be resting at the family home in Annagola from 2pm to 9pm Friday 27th June. House private at all other times to family.

Ruby's Funeral service will take place at 2pm on Saturday 28th June in St Aidans Church Kilmore, Ballinode with burial afterwards in the adjoining graveyard
