Brendan Kiely
Shannon Park, Portumna, Galway / Ballyjamesduff, Cavan
Brendan passed away peacefully on Sunday the 29th of June, in Galway University Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Throughout his illness, he met each day with quiet strength and unwavering dignity.
Predeceased by his brother Joseph, Brendan will be sadly missed by his wife Mary, daughter Brenda, sons Stephen, Damien, John, Gavin. son in law David, daughters in law Mary, Nicola, Francoise and Gabrielle. His adoring Grandchildren, Brother Kevin and sister Genevieve, Brothers in laws, Sisters in laws, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Brendan’s cortège will arrive to St Brigid’s Church Wednesday 2nd July at 10:45 with Mass being celebrated at 11:00. The ceremony will be live streamed on the following link.

Funeral will continue to Shannon Crematorium afterwards for cremation service at 3 o'clock.
Family flowers by request with donations if desired to Galway Hospice.
An online condolence book has been opened in Brendan's memory. Family and friends are invited to leave messages of sympathy which will be of comfort to Brendan's family at this difficult time.
Peter O'Connell
9 Harrogate Street, Belfast, Antrim / Cavan
O’Connell Peter 9 Harrogate Street Belfast, formally of Cloughergoole, Virginia Co. Cavan and Ashbourne, Co. Meath, passed away peacefully in the excellent care of the staff in the RV Hospital Belfast surrounded by his loving family 28th June 2025. Beloved husband of Mary, much loved father of Kathleen and Justin, loving grandfather of Sadhbh, Gracie-Mae, Muireann and Ailbhe and adored brother of Seamus, Noeleen, Siobhan and Maria.

Peter will be reposing at Healy Brothers Chapel of Repose on Wednesday (Viewing Times 2pm to 8pm). Peter will then leave on Thursday at 9.20am to arrive at St Pauls Church Falls Road for 10.00am Requiem Mass followed by burial in Milltown Cemetery. Peacefully at Monaghan General Hospital.
Predeceased by her parents Bernard and Annie, her sisters Maureen and Bridie and her brothers Brian, Terence and Oliver.
Sadly missed by her loving husband Dan, her children Ann-Marie and Joseph, son in law Rory, daughter in law Mary, grandchildren Luke and Danny, brothers Michael, Felix, Anthony and Noel, brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
May she rest in peace.
Reposing at her home on Monday (30/06/2025) from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and on Tuesday (01/07/2025) from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m.
Removal on Wednesday (02/07/2025) at 10.30 a.m., arriving at St. Michael’s Church, Corcaghan for Funeral Mass at 11 a.m.
Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

The death has occurred of Brian Kavanagh, 8 Ardbanagher, Glaslough, Co.Monaghan. Monday 30th June peacefully at Drumbear Lodge Nursing Home, surrounded by his loving family.
Pre-deceased by his wife Joan, brother Enda and parents Benny & Mary Kavanagh.
Brian will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his family; daughters Kelly, Paula (Adrian) & Kathleen (Seamus), son James (Melissa), grandchildren Kyle, Sean, Jay, Robbie, Holly, Khloe, Sophie, Lauren, Kara & Lucie, brother Paddy, sisters Mary, Margaret & Kathleen, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Brian's remains will repose at McMahon's Funeral Home, Emyvale, H18 FK80 on Tuesday from 3pm - 9pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday morning at 11am at St.Mary's Church, Glennan. Burial afterwards alongside his beloved wife Joan in Drumbanagher Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Eleanor Duffy (nee Atkinson), Kilnacran, Braddox, Co. Monaghan, Saturday June 28th peacefully, surrounded by her loving family.
Pre-deceased by her loving husband Vincent and more recently her brother Patsy.
Eleanor, deeply regretted and remembered with love by her family sons Eddie, Vincent, Eugene and Fintan, daughters Susan, Liz, Pauline and Eleanor, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, sisters in-law, Geraldine Atkinson, Liz Quinn and Kathleen McDonald, her 15 cherished grandchildren, extended family, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Eleanor’s funeral cortège will arrive to The Most Holy Rosary Church, Tullycorbet tomorrow Monday evening, for reception prayers at 6pm. Funeral mass on Tuesday morning at 11am followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
