Charity scrap metal collection

St John's Old Cemetery Restoration Group will host a fundraising scrap metal collection next weekend, July 19-20, in Nobber, Co Meath.

All proceeds will go towards the maintenance of the old cemetery and the upkeep of Nobber Heritage Centre.

Those interested in contributing to the cause are being urged to bring any scrap metal to the collection point at the Curtis Yard, Leafin, two kilometres north of Nobber on the R162 Kingscourt Road (A82 EH24) anytime between 9am and 6pm on both days. Home collection ia available for larger items and cars by arrangement.

Acceptable items for scrap include farm machinery, cars and car parts, copper, brass, iron, pots and pans, bikes, gates, radiators etc. Items not suitable for scrap include gas cylinders, TVs, timber, glass, plastic, tyres, fridges, cookers and washing machines.
