Oliver (Ollie) Cahill, Pottle, Poles, Co Cavan late of Drumavaddy, Carrickaboy. Peacefully at home surrounded by his loving wife and family. Pre-deceased by his sister Bridget Ferguson. Beloved husband and soulmate of Pauline and dear father of Joanne, Paul (Liz Whelan), Caroline (Gerard O'Connor), Pauric (Bridget Martin), his adored grandchildren Shannon, Carol-Ann, Max, James, Christopher, Luke, Kayden and Zoe, great-grandson Axel, brother Seamus, sister Nora May, brother in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, neighbours, relatives and many friends.

Reposing at Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan tomorrow Thursday from 5.00pm until 8.00pm. Removal from his home on Friday afternoon at 1.00pm to St Brigid's Church, Killygarry, to arrive for Requiem Mass at 1.30pm followed by Cremation at Lakelands Crematorium, Dublin Road, Cavan.

Liam (William) Farrell, Hawthorn Avenue, Rakeevan, Bailieborough, Co Cavan and formerly of Pilltown, Drogheda, Co Meath and Malahide, Co Dublin died on the 22nd July 2025 peacefully at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his baby son Patrick and brothers Charlie and Brian.

Deeply regretted by his loving wife Phyllis, daughters Deirdre and Linda, son Liam, sons-in-law Shay and Ray, grandchildren Leah, Holly, Hannah, Adam, Ella, Aaron and partners, great grandchild Mylo, sister Chrissie, brothers Paddy, Ollie, Tommy, Brendan and Ambrose, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at his residence (A82 NR22) on Thursday 24th July from 2pm – 8pm. Funeral to arrive at St. Anne’s Church, Bailieborough on Saturday 26th for Funeral Mass at 11am followed by cremation in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan (H12 RF78). The Funeral Mass can be viewed live via St. Anne’s Webcam.

Marie (Mary) Gerrity nee Rogers, Chapel Road and formerly of Curkish, Bailieborough, Co Cavan died on the 23rd July 2025, peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Cavan General Hospital. Predeceased by her husband P.J, parents Gerry and Veronica, her infant daughter Maria, brothers Tom and Roy and sister Rita.

Deeply regretted by her loving sons Gerard and Peter, daughter-in-law Mary, sister Phyllis (USA), brother Paddy (Kilkenny), sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Sinead O’ Grady, Station Road, Cootehill, Co. Cavan, ex nursing staff of St Luke’s Hospital, Rathgar July 22nd 2025 peacefully surrounded by her family in the devoted and expert care of Beaumont Hospital Oncology Unit.

Predeceased by her Parents Seán and Breda.

Sadly missed by her twin sister Máire (Christy), sister Ina (Michael), brothers Jim (Bernadette), Tom (Caroline), John (Anne) and Ultan (Helen), her nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, her extended family and many friends.

Teresa’s funeral mass will be celebrated in Our Lady of Knock Church, Ballintra at 11am on Friday 25th July. Internment afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

The death has occurred of Trevor Cunningham Sr. , Woodland house, Castleshane, Monaghan (formerly Muchgrange, Greenore, Co.Louth) Tuesday 22nd July, suddenly at Cavan General Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Pre-deceased by his loving daughter Orla Kashwa, Dallas, Texas, his parents William and Alice Cunningham and sisters Patricia Finnegan and Roseleen Kilcoyne, Greenore, Co.Louth. Trevor will be sadly missed by his loving wife Josephine and son Trevor, daughter in law Claire, son in law Mac, grandchildren Ethan, Halle-Kate, Adam & Summer, great grandson King, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
