Summer farm event draws crowd

More than 200 farmers gathered to hear how investments impacted the farm of David Williamson and his family near Bailieborough.

The summer farm event was hosted by Lakeland Dairies in collaboration with Teagasc.

David farms alongside his three sons: Ian, Alan and Glen. The Williamsons have invested in significant upgrades on their farm over the past few years. The event featured insightful discussions on key topics including on-farm investment strategies, farm succession planning and practical advice on managing cashflow and business structure.

Eamon Duignan, Member Relations Manager, Lakeland Dairies said, “We would like to thank our farmer suppliers for attending today’s event. A special word of thanks goes to the Williamson family for hosting us, and to our contributors from Teagasc, IFAC and the Land Mobility Service.

“I especially thank David, Ian, Alan and Glen for opening up their farm to host the event,” he added.

The Irish Heart Foundation was also in attendance providing free health checks to all attendees.
