It is with regret that we note the following deaths from Counties Cavan and Monaghan over the past few days as reported on RIP.ie.
Dave Boden Maple Court, Bailieborough, Co Cavan and formerly Lewisham, London, England. Died August 4, 2025, peacefully at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.
Deeply regretted by his partner Mary Owens, brother Peter, sister Alice, Mary's daughter Laura (Sean), granddaughter Ava, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Clarke's Funeral Home, Bailieborough on Tuesday, August 5 from 5pm - 7pm.
Funeral to arrive at St. Anne's Church, Bailieborough on Wednesday, August 6 for funeral mass at 10:30am, followed by cremation in Lakelands Cremtorium, Cavan at 12:30pm.

Breege Graham (née Gallogly), 39 Highfield Rd, Cavan Town and formerly of Drumrane, Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim. Peacefully in the wonderful care of her family and the doctors, nurses and staff at the Lisdarn Unit, Cavan General Hospital.
Predeceased by her parents Dan and Alice Gallogly, her brothers James and Vincie, mother-in-law Rita Graham and her sister-in-law Anna.
Breege will be very sadly missed by her husband Jerry, her sister Mary, brothers Dan and Tony, her sisters-in-law Monica and Eileen, brother-in-law Sean, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, great grandniece, her many friends and neighbours especially Philomena and Tom and her former nursing colleagues in St. Felim's Hospital, Cavan.
Breege will also be missed by all those associated with the Kilmore Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes of which she was an integral part for 46 years.
Breege will repose at the Mc Mahon Funeral Home, Farnham Rd, Cavan (H12C821) on Thursday evening from 5pm until 7pm.
Removal of her remains on Friday morning at 10:30am, travelling via her home in Highfield Rd, to the Cathedral of Saints Patrick and Felim, Cavan, arriving for funeral mass at 11 o'clock.
Following Mass a cremation will take place at Lakelands Crematorium. Burial of ashes at a later date. Breege's Funeral Mass can be viewed live on the parish website at www.cavantownparish.com/webcam.
Patrick (Paddy) Fulton Tunnyfoyle, Bailieborough, Co Cavan. Died on Tuesday, August 5, peacefully surrounded by his loving family.
Predeceased by his mother Rose and nephew Josie.
Lovingly remembered by his wife Rosemarie, daughters Maria (Páidí) and Susan (Gary), son James (Danika), adored grandchildren Éabha, Saoirse, Liam and Fiadh, brother Joe, sisters Angela, Marguerite and Rosemary, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Gundars Dzintarnieks 4 Drummond Etra, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan and formerly of Dzirnavu Street, Riga, Latvia, unexpectedly at his residence, Tuesday, July 29.
Predeceased by his father Maris and stepfather Leo. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his mother Anita, daughter Madara-Lība and Monika, sister Sanita, brother-in-law Brendon, nephews Robert and Maris, nieces Kristina, Izabel and Evija, his partner Joanna (Mundy), Joanna’s mother Etta, brother James and aunt Breedge O’Reilly. Gundars will be missed by his work colleagues, neighbours and friends both in Ireland and Latvia.
Reposing at Deery’s Funeral Home, Carrickmacross on Tuesday, August 5 from 5pm to 7pm. Removal on Wednesday afternoon (August 6) on foot to St. Finbarr’s Church, A81 KT38, arriving for Funeral Service at 2pm, followed by private cremation.
REDMOND SSL, Sr Maureen (late of St Louis Convent, Monaghan), died peacefully Tuesday, August 5, in the tender and loving care of the staff of Maryfield Nursing Home, Chapelizod, Dublin.
Predeceased by her parents Gerardine and Joseph, and her brothers Peter, Frank, Kevin, Joe and her sister Nuala. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her sisters Geraldine (Scully) and Sheila (Sherlock), her nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, relatives, friends and her St Louis Community.
Reposing at Maryfield Nursing Home, Chaplizod on Thursday, August 7 from 4.30pm to 6.30pm with evening prayer at 5pm. Funeral Mass at Maryfield Nursing Home at 11am Friday, August 8 followed by Cremation at Mount Jerome Garden Chapel at 12:45pm.
