Mary Brady

(née Roche)

Ernehill, Belturbet, Cavan, H14 T998 / Ballinlough, Roscommon

Mary Brady (nee Roche), Ernehill, Belturbet, Co. Cavan and formerly Ballinlough, Co. Roscommon. August 8th, 2025. Peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.

Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving family, husband Phelim, son Barry (Gráinne), Orla (Peter), adored grandchildren Ruairí, Muireann and Shane, brother Johnny, sisters Eileen and Patricia, brother-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Rest in Peace

Mary will be reposing at her late residence on Saturday evening (9th August) from 4pm until 7pm. Removal from her residence at 9.45am on Sunday (10th August) to arrive at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Belturbet for 10am Funeral Mass with burial afterwards in Drumalee Cemetery.

P.J. Finn

Baileborough Road, Kingscourt, Cavan

The death has occurred of P.J. Finn, Baileborough Road, Kingscourt, Co. Cavan, peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, 8th August 2025.

Predeceased by his parents, Benny and Mary, and his brother Benny. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Ann, daughter Deirdre, sons Brian (Angie) and Darren (Charlotte), his brothers, Hugh, Patrick, Lawrence, Bosco and Ollie, grandchildren Danny, Shane, Conor, Jayden, Rio, Lillie, Shay, Bobby and Cara, great-grandchildren Madison and Freya. Sadly missed also by his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Kieran Bros Funeral Home, Hall Street, Kingscourt, (A82R2W3) on Sunday, 10th August, from 3pm to 6pm. Funeral Mass on Monday, 11th August, at 10am in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Kingscourt, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Robert Faulkner

Lissacopple, Lisgrey, Virginia, Cavan

Robert Faulkner, Lissacopple, Lisgrey, Virginia, Co Cavan died on the 7th August 2025 surrounded by his loving family after a short illness bravely borne. Predeceased by his parents Hugh and Eunice and brother Tom.

Deeply regretted by his loving wife Rita, loving son Daniel, brothers John and Hugh, sisters Hazel Pain, Eunice McQuaid, Norma Marshall, twin sister Gloria Gould, Heather Lipscombe and Velma Curran, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and large circle of friends.

Reposing at Clarke's Funeral Home, Bailieborough (A82 W2H7) on Saturday 9th August from 3pm - 7pm. Removal from his residence on Monday 11th to arrive at Billis Parish Church for Funeral Service at 2pm followed by cremation at Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan at 4:30pm.

No flowers please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to Cavan Monaghan Palliative Care via donation link, any family member or funeral director.

Brendan McQuaid

Ashe Road, Mullingar, Westmeath / Emyvale, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Brendan McQuaid – Ashe Road, Mullingar, Co Westmeath and formerly of Emyvale, Co Monaghan – August 8, 2025 (peacefully) in the tender care of the staff at Portiuncula Nursing Home Multyfarnham.

Predeceased by his parents John and Margaret, brother James, sisters Patricia and Verona and twin brother Sean (recently deceased).

Beloved husband of Mary and dear father of John, Brendan, Roger, Jill and Verona; Brendan will be very sadly missed and forever remembered by his wife and family, his much loved grandchildren Tom, Johnny and Amy; Gisele and Evelyn; Hannah, Eva and Grace; Cathal and Shane; daughters-in-law Alison, Sara and Monica, son-in-law Eamon, sister Monica (Gaynor), brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Gilsenans Funeral Home on Sunday from 4.30 pm concluding with prayers at 6 pm.

Funeral Mass in the Cathedral of Christ the King on Monday at 11 am and the Mass may be viewed on the live webcam below. Burial will take place afterwards in Ballyglass Cemetery.
