Seamus Griffin

Seamus Griffin, Drumahurk, Butlersbridge, Co.Cavan and formerly Pettigo, Co.Donegal, Wednesday August 20th 2025, peacefully at Cavan General Hospital, in the loving care of his family. Predeceased by his beloved wife Cathy, brother Noel and his sisters Maura and Mina. Seamus will be very sadly missed by his loving family, Gerry (Bronagh), Jim (Patrina), Conor (Sara), Karl (Karen), John (Tracy) and Paul (Jenny), by his cherished grandchildren James, D.J, Millie, Toby, Rory, Darragh, Cara, Áine and Órla, sister Patricia, his nephews, nieces, all his extended relatives, neighbours and many friends.

May he rest in peace

Reposing at the Mc Mahon Funeral Home, Farnham Rd, Cavan (H12C821) on Saturday evening from 5pm until 6pm. Seamus's remains will leave his home in Drumahurk on Sunday morning at 10.15 and will travel to St. Aidan's Church, Butlersbridge, arriving for Funeral Mass at 10.30 am. Burial will take place afterwards in St. Aidan's Cemetery, Butlersbridge.

Mairead Campbell

(née McMeel)

1 Cuirt Ui Mheith, Emyvale, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Mairead Campbell nee McMeel, 1 Cuirt Ui Mheith, Emyvale, Co.Monaghan and formerly Amackalin, Carrickroe. Thursday 21st August, peacefully after a short illness bravely borne, in the wonderful care of the staff of St.Annes Ward, Beaumont Hospital, Dublin, surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her parents Packie Joe & Annie McMeel, brother Eamon and husband Michael.

Mairead will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her heartbroken family; her daughter Eleanor, sons Mark, Gary & Ciaran, daughters in law Grainne & Candice, son in law Ciarán, her adored grandchildren, brother Seamus, sisters Mary, Geraldine & Deirdre, brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Mairead’s remains will repose at McMahons Funeral Home, Emyvale, H18 FK80 on Thursday from 6pm - 9pm and Friday from 3pm - 9pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday afternoon at 1.30pm at St.Patricks Church, Clara, H18 W602, followed by cremation at Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan.

Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to Ballyoisin Church Restoration Fund c/o Peter McMahon or any family member.

The Death has occurred of Seamus Clerkin, Moniel, Rockcorry , Co.Monaghan thursday 21st August 2025 peacefully at the Mater Hospital , Dublin after a short illness surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents Frank and Brigid and his brother Patrick Hugh. Deeply regretted by his loving brother Francis and sister Loreto Traynor. Sister's in-law Mary and Maria, brother in-law Gerry, nephews Enda, Brian and Ciaran, nieces Aideen, Martina, Orla and Ciara, his work colleagues in Monaghan General Hospital, relatives and a large circle of friends.

MAY HIS GENTLE SOUL REST IN PEACE

Remains reposing at his residence H18A624 on Friday and Saturday from 4pm until 9pm. Removal on Sunday morning to St.Mary's Church, Corravacan H18XF88 arriving for 11am funeral mass. Burial will take place immediately afterwards in Holy Trinity Cemetery H16XC82.

Cecelia Taaffe

Cecelia Taaffe (neé Johnston) formerly of Main St Ballybay, Co.Monaghan, born into eternal life today, Thursday August 21st 2025 peacefully with her loving family by her bedside.

Pre-deceased by her husbands Thady Mc Nally and Tommie Taaffe, parents James and Mamie Johnston (Corfad) and all her brothers and sisters gone before her.

Cecelia, remembered with love by her family, daughters Jacqueline (Woods), Louise (Paul Curran) and Úna (Garbhán Downey) and son Thomas (Toss) Taaffe, her cherished grandchildren Scarlett, Sinéad, Úna, Aodh, Fiachra and Brónagh and her adored great-grandchildren Páidí, Caolán and Bláthnaid, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and many friends.

Cecelia will repose at her daughter’s home Louise and Paul Curran, Gallagh, Clontibret (H18P223) today Thursday from 4pm until 10pm and again tomorrow Friday from 11am until removal at 6pm to arrive at St Patrick’s Church, Ballybay for reception prayers at 7pm. Cecelia’s funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday in St. Patrick’s Church, Ballybay at 1pm followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
