WHAT: Learn about the ancient Gortnanoul Tomb at Killykeen Forest Park with a talk by historian Johan Farrelly, followed by some story telling by the wonderful Daniel Downey.

Ballinagh Gardening Club Annual Produce Show

WHAT: Enter your fruit, veg and flowers. Hall opens from 5pm for prize giving, raffle and refreshments.

Hedge School

Where: In front of the Courthouse, Cootehill

What: Gaeil Mhuinchille presents a re-enactment of a Hedge School in celebration of Cootehill’s 300th anniversary. A free, bilingual event promoting the Irish language.

Bridewell Project

What: Coffee morning launch of the Bailieborough Living Memory Project – a new oral history initiative.

Tractor Run and 5K Fun Walk

WHERE: Starting from Cavan Equestrian Centre

WHEN: Sunday, August 24, 2pm.

WHAT: Tractor Run Modern & Vintage and 5K Fun Walk. Registration will be from 12 noon; events start from 2pm. Refreshments and a raffle will take place afterwards.

Heritage Day

Where: Gallonray House

When: Sunday, August 24

What: A full day of heritage-themed activities including Auto Jumble at 11am; Tractor & Vintage Car Run at 1pm; Heritage Walk at 1:30pm; Kids’ corner, vintage afternoon tea (2–4pm), Irish music (3–4pm), wool spinning & woodturning.

Cars and Coffee

Where: Cavan Bypass (Circus Ground)

When: Sunday, August 24, 9am.

What: Informal car meet-up for all vehicle types. A great opportunity to chat, share stories, and connect with fellow enthusiasts.
