James (Jimmy) McCABE

Drumcondra, Dublin / Cavan

McCABE James (Jimmy) (Late of Drumcondra and formerly of Cavan) August 25th, 2025. Passed peacefully, in his 92nd year, at the Mater Hospital. Beloved son of the late Mary and James and beloved brother of Fintan and the late Paddy and John. Sadly missed by his brother, sister-in-law Marie, nieces Emer, Julie, June, Hazel, Pauline and Ailish, nephews Kenneth and Garry, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Rom Massey & Sons Funeral Home, the Civic Centre, Ballymun Road, D09 RFY6, on Sunday afternoon, August 31st, from 4.00pm to 6.00pm. Funeral Mass on Monday morning, September 1st, at 10.00am at Corpus Christi Church, Homefarm Road, followed by burial in Glasnevin Cemetery.

Peacefully, in The South West Acute Hospital JOHN SLOAN, Dearly beloved husband of Hazel, 40 Carra Road, Clonfard, Newtownbutler Co. Fermanagh BT92 6DX. Dear father of Brian, Anne (Wilson), John (Niamh) and Jacqueline (Eoin). Proud grandfather of Neil, Joe, Ewan, Conor, Darragh, Maedbh, Roisin, Joshua, Marcus and Sophie. Brother of George (Margaret) and the late Harry and Edith.

Funeral service in St. Mary’s Parish Church, Drummully, Clones H23 Y793 on Saturday at 2pm followed by interment in the adjoining churchyard.

The death has occurred of Benny Moen, Corcaskea, Clontibret, Co.Monaghan. Tuesday August 26th, peacefully at Castleross Retirement Village, Carrickmacross, surrounded by his loving family.

Pre-deceased by his wife Teasie and grandson Ciarán,

Benny deeply regretted and remembered with love by his family, sons Frank, Dermot and Enda, daughters Martina, Irene, Mary and Bernadine, sons in-law Tommy, Mark, Declan and Keith, daughters in-law Denise, Marie and Karen, grandchildren Colm, Simone, Mary, Jordan, Callum, Shannon, Dylan, Levi, Cian, Senan, Emma, Sarah, Michael, Lauren, Mary, Ellen, Lucy, Grace and Aodhán, great-grandchildren Oliver, James Bernard, Jeff, Ettie Sean, Amber-Lee, Cohén and Bláthnaid, brother John Pat, brothers in-law Charlie and Noel, sister in-law Gráinne, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and many friends.

Benny will repose at Wards Funeral Home Ballybay (A75H585) tomorrow Thursday from 4pm until 8pm. Benny’s funeral cortège will travel from his late residence in Corcaskea on Friday morning to arrive at St. Mary’s Church Clontibret for funeral Mass at 12noon, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
