Noreen (Norie) Murphy

(née Brady)

Crosskeys, Cavan

Noreen (Norie) Murphy (née Brady) (3rd September 2025) (Togher, Crosskeys, Co. Cavan and formerly of Stonefield, Oldcastle, Co. Meath) peacefully in the tender care of the doctors and nurses in Cavan General Hospital, after a short illness. Reunited in heaven with her husband Tommy, brother Michael, sisters Mary and Anne and her lifelong best friend Ginny.

Norie will be forever remembered and very sadly missed by her beloved sister Tess, her loving nieces, Tommy's nieces and nephews, brother-in-law John, sister-in-law Alice, grandnieces and grandnephews, the Callaghan families, relatives, neighbours, friends and her beloved cats.

Peadar (Patrick) Lyons, 25 Bridge Street, Cootehill, Co. Cavan and formerly St Brigid’s Cresent, Bagenalstown, Co. Carlow September 3rd 2025 peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Monaghan General Hospital.

Predeceased by his wife Róisín, his sister Peggy and brother Jackie.

Sadly missed and remembered with love by his Son Richard, daughter Sarah, son-in-law Colm, brother Dickie, sisters Marie, Bea and Lily, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at Mullen’s Funeral Home, Cootehill (H16 FD25) this Friday evening from 5pm to 7pm. Removal leaving Mullen’s Funeral Home on Saturday morning at 10.30am to arrive at St.Michael’s Church, Cootehill for 11 o’clock funeral mass, followed by burial in St. Michael’s cemetery.

Michael (Hallie) Mc Evoy

Blackwater House, Monaghan and formerly, Cavan Town, Cavan

Michael (Hallie) Mc Evoy, Blackwater House, Monaghan and formerly Cavan Town, Wednesday September 3rd 2025, peacefully in the loving care of the staff at Cavan General Hospital. Predeceased by his parents Michael and Nuala, his sister Catherina and his niece Aoife. Michael will be very sadly missed by his siblings, Niall (Sligo), Ursula Young (Cavan) and Aisling Smith (Greystones), brothers in law, Michael Mc Ginnity, Tomás Young and Mark Smith, sister in law Ann, all his extended family, many friends and all the wonderful residents and staff in Blackwater House.

The death has occurred of Judy McKeown (née Leddy), Lough View, Dublin Road, Cavan and late of Marian Row, Ballinagh, Co. Cavan, Wednesday September 3rd, suddenly but peacefully at her home.

Pre-deceased by her parents Peter and Kathleen, brothers Brendan and Michael.

Sadly missed by her former partner Damian McKeown, her heartbroken daughter Mary (Brian Johnston), son James (Claire), her adored grandchildren Ava, Naoise, Brian Óg, Mia, Max and Klara-May, sisters Bridie (Alphonsus), Cáit, Rose (Tom) and Elizabeth (Ollie), brothers Peter, Oliver (Rowena), Seamus (Joella), Frank and her twin Sean, nephews, nieces relatives and many friends.

Daragh McTiernan, 4, McNean Court, Blacklion, Co. Cavan F91T2T1 and formerly of Doon, Sheegora, Boyle, Co. Roscommon. Suddenly on 2nd September 2025.

Daragh will be forever missed and always remembered with love by his heartbroken family, his mother Marie, his father Pat (Margo), his sister Niamh Kenefick (Sean) and brothers Cathal and Shane, his cherished niece Mistie and nephews Dylan and Jack, extended relatives, family and friends.

Daragh will be reposing at his residence on Friday evening from 5pm - 8pm, for family and close friends only please. House is strictly private at all other times please.

Evija will be sadly missed by her daughter’s Nikola and Mia, son Markuss, mother, sisters, nephews, nieces, all her relatives, neighbours, and many friends.

The death has occurred of Sheila Comer (née Duffy). Church Road, Ballinacurra, Co. Cork, formerly Harbour Row, Cobh, Co. Cork and Corcuilliogue, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan. 23rd June 2025, in her 80th year, peacefully at her home, surrounded by her cherished family.

Predeceased by her beloved husband John, her parents, Mollie and Jim, her brother Gerald and her sister-in-law Rosaleen.

Sadly missed and remembered with love by her children Judy and Fergus and their families, her brother John, her sister-in-law Tricia and family, her cousin Ann Marie, her sister-in-law Irene, her extended family, neighbours & friends.

A Memorial Mass for Sheila will take place in St. Joseph’s Church, Carrickmacross, on Saturday, 6th September, at 11am followed by burial of Ashes in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Eileen Donnelly, Ongar, Dublin 15 and formerly of McCurtain Street, Clones, Co. Monaghan, 2nd September 2025, peacefully at home in the loving care of her daughter Lorraine and family.

Predeceased by her parents Frances and Patrick, her sister Mary, brothers Tony and Jackie and baby Patrick (who died in infancy).

Cherished and adored mother of Lorraine. Eileen will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her daughter Lorraine and Lorraine’s partner Shannon, her brother Joseph and his wife Catherine, sister Kathleen, Eileen’s best friends Patricia and Sandie, nieces, nephews, extended family friends, and by all who knew and loved Eileen.

Reposing at her residence (Eircode D15 AK59) on Wednesday and Thursday from 5.30pm to 7.30pm. Eileen’s Funeral Mass will take place on Friday morning at 11am in the Sacred Heart Church, Clones, Co. Monaghan, followed by burial afterwards in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
