It is with regret that we note the following deaths from Counties Cavan and Monaghan as reported on RIP.ie in the last few days.
Donal O'Rourke
Knockatee, Cavan Road, Ballyhaise, Cavan
The death has occurred of Donal O'Rourke, Knockatee, Cavan Road,
Ballyhaise, Monday September 29th, peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family.
Pre-deceased by his parents Patrick and Annie and his twin sister who died in infancy, also his brothers in law Hugh and Charlie.
Sadly missed by his loving wife Anna, sons Mark (Anne), Carl (Sinéad), Daragh (Breda), Shane (Fiona), Adrian (Yvonne), brothers Noel (Brìd) and Gerard, grandchildren Gary, Brìan, Calvin, Ryan, Ali, Elle, Annie, Fionn, Amber, Isabel and Kayla.
brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, neighbours, relatives and many friends.
May he Rest in Peace.
Reposing at his home on Tuesday and Wednesday from 3.30pm until 7.30pm, house private at all other times please.
Parking facilities at St Mary's Church Ballyhaise with a shuttle bus service to and from the family home.
Removal from his home on Thursday morning at 10.30am to St Mary's Church, Ballyhaise to arrive for Requiem Mass at 11.00am, interment afterwards in St Patrick's Cemetery Castletara.
Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to Palliative Care Team or Family carers Ireland through donations box provided or care of Declan Finnegan Funeral Directors or any family member.

John Joseph Campbell
Boggan, Moynalty, Meath / Carrickmacross, Monaghan
The death has occurred of John Joseph Campbell, Boggan, Moynalty, Kells, Co. Meath and formerly of Killanny, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan, peacefully in the loving care of the staff of Castleross Nursing Home, 29th September 2025.
Predeceased by his wife Eileen, brothers Harry, Leo and Brian and daughter in law Joanne. John will be sadly missed by his daughter Mary Campbell (Gary) and son John, grandson James, his nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at his home at Boggan (Eircode A82 KW02) on Tuesday, 30th September, from 3pm to 8pm. John's Funeral Mass will take place in the Church of The Sacred Heart, Kilmainhamwood on Wednesday, 1st October at 11am, followed by burial in Moynalty Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Mary Cunninghan, (née McCabe), 115 O'Neill Park, Clones, Co. Monaghan, Sunday 28th September 2025, peacefully and unexpectedly at home, surrounded by her loving family.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Packie, sister Geraldine and brother Brendan.
Cherished and much-loved mother of Paula and Declan. Mary will be sadly missed and remembered with love by her daughter, son, daughter in law, Michelle, her adored and much loved grandchildren, Áine and Cara, her sister Sheila (Higgins, Dublin), brothers Sean (England), Maurice (Oldcastle, Co. Meath) and Aidan (Armagh), sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours, many friends and by all who knew and loved Mary.

Mary will repose at Martin's Family Room, Newbliss, H18C962 today Monday from 5pm to 9pm and again Tuesday from 3pm to 9pm. Removal on Wednesday Morning from Martin's family room at 10.30am arriving to the Sacred Heart Church, Clones for 11am funeral Mass. Burial afterwards in Mount St Oliver's Cemetery.
Mary's funeral cortège to the chapel from Newbliss, will travel via Fermanagh St, (Driving) and walking from the family home, 115 O'Neill Park.

The death has occurred of Willie (Doc) Donnelly, Derrycreevy, Castleblayney, Co Monaghan, peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, 29th September 2025. Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Margaret, brother Thomas and his precious daughter baby Annamarie.
Deeply regretted and lovingly missed by his wife Dolores, sons Colm, Gerard, Alan and Thomas, his daughter Linda, daughters-in law Aisling, Poppie, Carol and Rachel, son-in-law Ross, cherished grandchildren Christopher, Aimee, Emma, Niall, Shea, Ruari, Flynn, Stella and Ava.
