Crosskeys road closed following fatality

It's understood that a woman in her 70s has died following a single vehicle crash on a local road in Carrickatober, Crosskeys, earlier this afternoon.

She was the sole occupant of the vehicle.

Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of the accident at around 3:30pm on Tuesday, October 7.

The road is closed for forensic scene investigation and local diversions are in place. It's not known if it will reopen tonight.

Gardaí are investigating.
