Woman who died in Crosskeys crash to be laid to rest tomorrow
The elderly woman, who died following a road traffic accident near Crosskeys on Tuesday afternoon, will be laid to rest tomorrow (Friday).
Local woman Anna Brady (née Kiernan) tragically lost her life following the incident, which gardaí and medics believe was the result of a medical emergency.
Mrs Brady was from Kilnacor, Crosskeys.
The collision involving two cars occurred on a local road in Carrickatober at approximately 3:30pm on Tuesday, October 7 last.
Mrs Brady, who was driving one of the vehicles, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Her body was removed to Cavan General Hospital for a post-mortem.
The other driver, a woman in her 40s, was brought to Cavan General Hospital for assessment.
The road was closed for a time to allow Garda Forensic Collision Investigators to conduct an examination of the scene.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to this incident to come forward.
Any road users who may have dash-cam footage and were travelling in the area around 3-3.30pm are asked to make this footage available to investigating officers.

Mrs Brady was pre-deceased by her parents John Joe and Kathleen Kiernan and infant grandson Diarmúid.
She was the beloved wife of Bertie and devoted mother to Olivia (Brian Fitzsimons), Nathalie (Gary Byrne), Karlos, Brian (Majella Walsh); her adored grandchildren James, Oisín, Áine and Laura; brothers Tommy (Mary), Phil (Bríd); sisters Eilish O'Reilly (Seamus) and Mary McCabe (Laurence); nephews, nieces, cousins, neighbours, relatives and many friends.
The remains of Mrs Brady will repose at Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan, this evening (Thursday) from 5-8pm. Removal will take place from her home on Friday afternoon at 1:30pm to St Matthew's Church, Crosskeys, to arrive for Requiem Mass at 2pm, interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
