Bright start before weather change by afternoon

The county will enjoy a dry and relatively calm start to the day this Saturday, with the potential for a few bright or sunny spells during the morning hours.

As the day progresses, cloud cover will increase along with a noticeable pick-up in southeasterly winds, becoming fresh and gusty—particularly in exposed areas.

By the afternoon, outbreaks of rain will begin moving in from the southwest, turning more widespread and persistent by the evening. Temperatures will remain mild, with highs ranging from 12 to 14 degrees Celsius.

Saturday night though will bring wet and blustery conditions, with heavy and persistent rain sweeping across the region early in the night. Thundery downpours and spot flooding are possible. Rain will gradually clear from the west by morning, while temperatures will remain mild overnight, not dipping below 10 to 13 degrees.
