Singer Paloma Faith has announced she is pregnant with her third child.

The Upside Down singer already shares two daughters with her ex-partner, French artist Leyman Lahcine.

The 44-year-old posted photos showing her pregnant belly to Instagram on Friday and said: “Plot twist, mother is mothering (again).”

She also shared the jokey hashtags: “#morethangeriatricpregnancy #oappregnancy #oapmilf #18weekspregnant.”

Radio presenter Zoe Ball, singer Jessie Ware, artist Tracey Emin and reality TV star Sophie Habboo were among those congratulating her in the comments.

She was also congratulated by Claudia Winkleman, host of The Celebrity Traitors – a show Faith recently starred in.

Faith welcomed her first child in 2016 and her second in 2021.

The singer said she lost a litre of blood following her second pregnancy and was in “so much pain despite the pain killers”.

She wrote on Instagram at the time: “I had a planned c section yesterday I’m in a lot of pain and didn’t sleep last night but it’s worth it to see and meet the new little cherub I have in front of me.

“It’s been about 30 hours and already I’m exhausted, sore and my nipples are on fire with a baby piranha that wants to kill me on them every few hours but I am of course elated!”

The singer has previously spoken about her struggles with IVF and said she had six rounds of treatment before baby number two.

In another social media post she reflected on her first experience of birth and said it involved “21 active hours of labour” and “an emergency C-section that resulted in me not being able to walk properly for three months.”

Known for songs including Picking Up The Pieces and New York, the singer has had five top 10 singles in the UK chart and six top 10 albums.

Her most recent album, The Glorification Of Sadness, explored a break up and was released in 2024, more than a year following reports of her split from Lahcine.

Faith was previously married to chef Rian Haynes between 2005 to 2009.

She has not disclosed the father of her third child.
