Deadly performance of The Addams Family in the Comp
St Aidan’s Comprehensive brought a spooky twist to the stage last week with a fantastic production of The Addams Family - The Musical. Packed with laughter, music, and plenty of gothic charm, the show was a hit with audience and got great reviews.
Patrick Tate led the cast as the charming Gomez Addams, with Caoimhe O’Brien delivering a wonderfully elegant Morticia. Annie Foster gave a standout performance as Wednesday, torn between her quirky family and her new love, Lucas (Sean Slowey). Dearbhail Shanley, River McCaul, Emily Gallagher, Dylan McCarney, Dan Lynch, and Padraic Ward all brought the Addams household and their guests to life with flair and humour.
The supporting cast, including Flapper Girls, brides, and a variety of ancestors, added energy and excitement to every scene. Their creative costumes, lively choreography, and clear passion for performing helped make the show unforgettable.
A huge thank-you goes to Ms Maguire, Ms Cunningham Ms Hurson and Mr Fitzsimons and all the crew. A big thanks to local sponsors — including Argue’s Londis, Foy’s SuperValu, Link Credit Union, Cootehill Medical Centre, Business Service Solutions and E & M Stores and many others — whose support made the production possible.
With its mix of comedy, music, and a little bit of macabre magic, The Addams Family was a triumph for St Aidan’s Comprehensive — a production that left the audience snapping along and applauding long after the final curtain.
