Introducing the Cavan Craft Collective

The “Cavan Craft Collective” was officially launched last week by Cavan County Council Cathaoirleach John Paul Feely, signalling a new vision for the craft sector in the county. The collective aims to foster collaboration among crafters across the county.

Speaking at the launch, Cathaoirleach John Paul Feeley highlighted the importance of this sector: “Cavan County Council, together with Local Enterprise Office Cavan, is proud to support our talented craft community. The formation of “Cavan Craft Collective” reflects our commitment to nurturing creativity and ensuring craft continues to add value to our local economy.”

The network’s ambition is to build a strong collective identity for Cavan crafters, encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing, and expand market reach through joint marketing and promotional activities. It also seeks to develop skills and innovation through training and mentoring programmes, while positioning Cavan craft strategically within local and regional economic plans.

Craft is a cornerstone of Cavan’s culture and the new network will focus on collective ambition and strategic growth. By connecting artisans, designers and entrepreneurs, the initiative aims to strengthen market opportunities and promote Cavan as a hub for high-quality craft. The next Cavan Craft Collective event will unveil the networks website and feature an exhibition of members’ work, celebrating the creativity and talent that define the Cavan Craft Collective. It takes place on Thursday, November 27, 2025, from 6-9pm at Crafts of Ireland (A82 V0P1). Everyone is welcome to attend and experience the craftsmanship and innovation that make the 'Cavan Craft Collective' truly unique.

Looking ahead to 2026, plans include, expanded training programs and participation in national and international exhibitions. These initiatives aim to raise the profile of Cavan Craft Collective and create sustainable opportunities for growth.
