Passion for fashion in Darlynn

There’s a new boutique in town, and most likely the question on everyone’s lips is ‘what’s it like’? Let us tell you.

Darlynn is colourful and bright, welcoming and relaxing with casual and occasion wear clothing for anybody in their twenties right up to their sixties.

While Darlynn doesn’t cater to mother of the bride-type outfits, customers will find affordable clothing with plenty of glitz and glam for Christmas nights out or Christmas day, smart work clothing, fabulous jeans and a nice top combinations, statement coats, and much more. To finish off or compliment the outfit, there are shoes, handbags, belts, and jewellery too. While the store isn’t brand focused, you will find labels such as Hope & Ivy, Elli White, Decollage and more. However, the real aim is to bring stylish, quality and affordable clothing to Cavan.

Located on Mainstreet, you can pop in and have a browse, try on what you like in their cosy and spacious changing rooms with plenty of natural light beaming in, and find the right outfit for you.

Opening their doors in Cavan Town last Thursday, Darlynn will hold their official launch tomorrow (Thursday), November 27 from 5:30-7:30pm when everybody is invited to a night of prosecco, nibbles, fashion and celebration. To mark this special milestone, there will be 10% off all clothing tomorrow, Friday and Saturday. Meanwhile those who have made a purchase since opening last Thursday until tomorrow night are automatically entered into a draw to win a €100 voucher.

Now to the next question, who is behind this fabulous new boutique? The owner’s name is Linda Keogh who is an accountant from Butlersbridge. She is the inspirational mum of Doireann, Rían and Saoirse. Inspirational because she is pursuing a dream she has wanted for the past 20 years with the help of her husband Darragh; a multi-talented electrician who was installing some finishing touches when the Celt called last week. Together they are bringing Linda’s passion to reality, so it’s fitting that both names will be over the front door of ‘Darlynn’. After an impressive eight-week turnaround renovating the store, the Celt asks Linda how it fees to finally open the doors. “I’m nervous and excited,” Linda tells the Celt.

“It’s a big leap to be fair, I have three small kids so I am really stepping out of my comfort zone,” she admits.

The mum of three hopes it is a move that pays off and, while the Celt cannot predict the future, there are plenty of eye-catching pieces waiting to be picked up.

Linda and Darragh wish to thank their “fantastic family and friends” who pulled together to help get the shop open. “Without their help and support, we wouldn’t have been opened so quickly!”

Meanwhile, a voucher from Darlynn would make the perfect Christmas gift.
