Cavan joins regional enterprise promotion in London
Representatives from Cavan County Council joined colleagues from Leitrim, Longford, and Roscommon in London last week to promote the Upper Shannon-Erne Region as an attractive destination for UK investment.
The event, held at the Irish Embassy in Grosvenor Place, brought together business leaders from the four counties with prominent UK business figures to highlight opportunities for collaboration and growth.
IDA Ireland CEO Michael Lohan delivered the keynote address, and a panel featuring leading regional business figures provided insights into the Upper Shannon-Erne’s enterprise potential. Among the participants were Caroline Ashe Brady of Cavan-based Kore Insulation and Paul Gilcreest, CEO of Trave, operating from the Cavan Digital Hub.
Cavan County Council was represented by Cathaoirleach Cllr John Paul Feeley, Chief Executive Eoin Doyle, Director of Service Paddy Connaughton, Town Regeneration Officer Caroline Brady, and Head of Enterprise at Local Enterprise Office Cavan, Conor Craven.
Commenting on the event, Cllr Feeley said, “This gathering offered a unique opportunity to showcase Cavan’s skilled workforce, entrepreneurial spirit, and strategic location, making our county an ideal choice for UK firms seeking expansion or new markets.”
Chief Executive Eoin Doyle added, “Cavan already has strong ties with the UK, with many local firms thriving there and members of our diaspora contributing to that success. Events like this help strengthen those links and attract further investment, reinforcing Cavan as a dynamic and competitive destination for business.”
