Conway (née Smith), Nora - Late of Blackrock and formerly of Kilcogy, Co. Cavan, passed away peacefully after a short illness at St. Vincent’s University Hospital. She is now reunited with her beloved husband, Martin.

Nora will be deeply loved and sadly missed by her devoted children Fergus, Máire, Barbara, Eileen and Aedeen, sons-in-law and partners Frank, Paul and Denver, her treasured grandchildren Cian, Niall, Ben, Hazel, Nienke, Bryan, Cara and Susanna, her brothers Jimmy, Tony and Oliver, sisters Phyllis and Helen, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives and her many dear friends.

Cornafaghy, Smithborough, Monaghan, H18 HR74 / Cavan

The death has occurred of Phyllis Corley, (nee King), Cornafaghy, Smithborough, Co. Monaghan and formerly of Moynalty, Co. Cavan who passed away peacefully in Cavan General Hospital surrounded by her loving family, 18th December 2025.

Predeceased by her parents Tomas and Mary King (Moynalty), her brothers Jimmy and Mattie and her sisters Mary (Bennett) and Bridie (Moran).

Phyllis be sadly missed and remembered with love by her husband Brendan, her sons Ian (Jenny), Russell (Sandra) and Adrian, her cherished grandchildren Kelvin, Noah, Mila, Neve, Meagan, Ryan and Keeva, her sister Nancy King, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours, many friends and by all who knew and loved Phyllis.

Phyllis will be resting at the family home, Cornafaghy, Smithborough, (H18 HR74) on Saturday (20th) and Sunday (21st) from 3pm to 8pm (Please note a shuttle bus will be in operation, wake times only, parking at Magherarney Church). Removal on Monday morning (22nd) at 10.30am to arrive at St. Mary’s Church, Magherarney for 11am funeral Mass. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Formerly Killavalley, Crossdonay, Co Cavan.

Pre deceased by her parents Gerard and Mary, siblings Mary, John, Alice, Eoghan (Gene) Rose and Gerry. Much loved sister of Séamus, Phyllis. Kathleen, Patrick, Aidan and Susan. Deeply regetted by her loving family, brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives and friends, her family in Tarmon House, Vicarstown and the Muiriosa foundation.

Reposing at her home in Vicarstown on Friday evening from 4 to 7pm. Requiem mass on Saturday at 10am in The Convent Chapel, Moore Abbey, Monasterevin and there after cremation service in Lakelands crematorium, Co Cavan at 4pm.

The death has occurred of Julia (Sheila) Cleary, nee Sheehan, Castleknock Dublin ,and late of Glenbeigh Co. Kerry . Thursday 18th December, 2025, peacefully, in the wonderful care of the staff of Mount Hybla Private Nursing Home, Castleknock Dublin. Pre deceased by her loving husband John , late of Swanns Cross, Co. Monaghan, and her beloved son Peter.

Deeply regretted by her sons Brian (Anne) and Vincent (Adele), grandchildren Conor, Paul, Declan and Ciaran, great-grandchildren Eoin, Adam, Chloe, Raphael and Ava, Sister Bridie, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and a large circle of friends.

Remains reposing at Mullen's Funeral Home, Cootehill, Co. Cavan H16FD25 on Saturday 20th December from 4 o clock until 7 o clock.

Removal from her son Vincent's residence on Sunday morning 21st December to St. Mary's Church, Corravacan, Rockcorry, Co. Monaghan. H18XF88 arriving for 11 o clock Funeral Mass. Burial will take place immediately afterwards in Holy Trinity Cemetery H16XC82

Latgallan, Clones, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Emma Mackarel (née McClean), Latgallan, Clones, Co Monaghan, cherished daughter of John and Linda McClean, Thursday the 18th of December, tragically following a road traffic accident.

Predeceased by her grandmother Jean McClean.

Deeply regretted and remembered with love by her heartbroken family, husband Andrew, daughter Eva, son Alec, parents John and Linda, sister Donna (Rodney), brother David (Hayley), grandfather Thomas McClean, father and mother-in-law Eric and Betty Mackarel, brother-in-law Alan (Sallyann), sister-in-law Tanya, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and many friends.

Funeral service will take place on Sunday the 21st of December at 2pm at Stonebridge Presbyterian Church, Gransha More, Clones, Co Monaghan (H23N524) followed by interment in the adjoining graveyard.

James's funeral procession will leave his brother Eddie's home on Saturday morning to arrive to St. Macartan's Cathedral for 12noon Funeral Mass.
