Upon arrival, firefighters discovered a male paraglider trapped. They used multiple ladders to reach him, and the NIFRS confirmed that three fire engines, including crews from Enniskillen and Lisnaskea, were deployed to the scene.
The rescue operation lasted for several hours.
A spokesperson confirmed that at 12:51 pm, NIFRS received a ‘Special Service Call,’ and the crews quickly rescued the man, who was then handed over to the care of the NI Ambulance Service. NIAS had received a call at 12:49 pm and dispatched a Rapid Response Paramedic, one Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) crew, and an emergency crew to assist with the situation.
