Very Rev. Fr. Phil Brady
Creighan, Cavan Town /Bruskey, Cavan
(Late of Legwee Bridge, Bruskey, Cavan)
Passed away peacefully on 6th January 2026.
Late Priest of the Diocese of Kilmore.
Predeceased by his Parents, Patrick and Roseanne Brady, Infant Sister, Teresa, Sisters, Margaret Mollahan and Rosie Galligan, Brother Ned, Aunt Molly, Brother in Law Michael Tully and Nephew James Tully.
Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his Sister, Maryann Tully and Brothers, John (Pat), Paddy (Lily), Monsignor James Brady and Hughie (Maggie), Brothers in Law Phil Galligan and John Mollahan and Sister in Law Kathleen Brady, Nieces, Nephews, Grand Nieces, Grand Nephews,Great Grand Nieces and Great Grand Nephews, Bishop Martin Hayes, Bishop Emeritus Leo O’Reilly, Brother Priests, Former Parishioners and his many good Friends.

Requiescat in Pace
Reposing at the home of his nephew Padraig Brady Legwee bridge, Bruskey, (H12XE97) on Thursday 8th January from 5pm to 8pm for family, neighbours and close friends. Reposing in St. Mary’s Church, Bruskey, Ballinagh, Cavan (H12XO67) on Friday 9th January from 6pm to 9pm. Requiem Mass on Saturday 10th January in St. Mary’s Church, Bruskey at 12 noon, with interment afterwards in the church grounds.

Ackie Hall
Lattycopple, Cootehill, Cavan / Monaghan
Peacefully on Tuesday, 6th January 2026 at Cavan General Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Pre-deceased by his beloved grandson Daniel, brothers Tommy and Kenneth.
Ackie will be dearly missed by his loving family; his devoted wife Hilda, his daughters and sons-in-law Olivia and Norman Graham, Jennifer and Stuart Martin and Denise and Alan Hamilton. Also his treasured grandchildren Alison, Anna, Lucas, Alex and Sarah, brother Cyril, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, the family circle and his good friends.
Funeral service on Friday, 9th January 2026, in Drum Presbyterian Church, eircode H16 KR60, at 1.30pm. Interment afterwards in the adjoining Churchyard.
Family flowers only. Donations in memory of Ackie if so desired to Cootehill First Response Group (Cheques made payable to same) C/o Conly Funeral Directors, Ballybay, Co.Monaghan or any family member.
Resting at Finnegans Funeral Home, Lakelands, Cavan, eircode H12 RF78 on Thursday, 8th January from 5pm until 8pm.

Lennon (Armagh formerly Derrynoose) January 8th 2026 peacefully in the presence of his adored family Matthew (Mattie) RIP. Dearly beloved husband of Ùna and devoted father to Michael and Matthew Cherished son of the late Mick and Alice RIP.
His remains will repose at his late residence 4 Ashley Hill Armagh BT60 1EJ from this evening (Thursday) until removal on Sunday to arrive at St Mochua's Church Derrynoose for 12Noon Requiem Mass. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
Deeply regretted and sorely missed by his loving wife, sons, brothers James(Laura), John(Carmel), Michael(Anna), Martin(Geardine), Thomas(Carmel), Oliver(Patricia), sisters Mary, Josephine(Joe RIP), Eileen(Tony) and Roisin.The Loughlin family of Gerald(Angie), Patrick(Dympna), Bronagh(Tony) and Aine(Dominic), all the nieces, nephews and the wider family circle and many friends.On his soul Sweet Jesus have mercy. Family welcome visitors to their home on Friday and Saturday between 12noon — 9pm, house respectfully private outside these hours please. All wake parking available at the old Armagh potato company 98-100 Newry Rd Armagh BT60 1ER where a shuttle service to the wake home will be provided.
