Post-mortems carried out on suspected murder suicide
Gardaí are continuing to investigate all of the circumstances surrounding the discovery of two bodies at separate domestic residences Dublin earlier this week.
Post-mortem examinations have now been completed on the bodies of the deceased- 12-year-old Oísin Reddin and his father 48-year-old Wayne O’Reilly.
The National Review Panel which investigates serious incidents including the deaths of children in care and known to the child protection system, has said it will be completing a review in due course into the death of Oisín Reddin.
The bodies were found on Thursday, January 8 in separate properties connected to Mr O'Reilly- in Ballyfermot, Dublin 10, and Clondalkin, Dublin 22.
Gardaí have confirmed that the results of the post-mortem will not be released at this time for operational reasons.
Technical and forensic examinations at both residential locations have also been completed as part of the ongoing inquiry.
The investigation is being conducted under the direction of a Senior Investigating Officer.
Family Liaison Officers remain in contact with the families of Oísin Reddin and Wayne O’Reilly, providing ongoing support and updates.
