As the day progresses, sunny spells will mix with cloud, and scattered showers may drift through both counties.

Temperatures will remain cool, reaching around 4–6 °C, with light to moderate winds keeping the air crisp.

Met Eireann says that Saturday night will see rain and drizzle move in from the west and extend eastwards, becoming widespread.

Lowest temperatures of 0 to 2 degrees initially, becoming milder with the rain with lowest temperatures generally of 3 to 7 degrees.

Light to moderate southerly winds will increase fresh to strong.
