Stuart Farrell from Cavan has been named Apprentice of the Year at Bus Éireann’s 2025 National GEM (‘Go the Extra Mile’) Awards, which celebrate employees’ exceptional service, community impact, and performance.

The awards cover multiple categories, including Depot of the Year, Craftworker of the Year, as well as driver and community recognition awards.

The Apprentice of the Year accolade highlights dedication, learning, and teamwork in the mechanical trade. Stuart impressed judges with his technical skills, curiosity, and commitment to continuous improvement, earning him recognition as a future leader in his field.
