Valerie Christine O'Sullivan, Lakeview, Lock Gowan, Co. Cavan. Formerly Robertstown, Co. Kildare. Peacefully, 12th January 2026, at Cavan Hospital, surrounded by her family and friends. Pre deceased by her beloved son Patrick and his father Seamus Wyse. Valerie will be deeply regretted and sadly missed by her heartbroken son Thomas, daughter in law KC, loving granddaughter Bella Rose, brothers Tony, Morgan, Pat, Martin and Glen, sisters Maura, Ada, Ita and Rosaleen (Rip), brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Glennons Funeral Home, Allenwood on Thursday (15th January) from 5pm - 7pm with prayers at 6.30pm. Removal on Friday morning to arrive at The Garden Chapel, Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harolds Cross, Dublin for cremation service at 11:15am. Valerie's service will be live streamed here.

The death has occurred of Bridget (Babbie) Smith, Canningstown, Cootehill, Co.Cavan. Died Tuesday 13th January 2026, peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her husband Bennie and her parents Thomas and Katie Brady.

Deeply regretted and lovingly missed by her heartbroken family son Noel (Sophia), daughters Carmel (Terence), Majella (Andy), Mairéad (Ciarán) and Collette (Larry) . Sadly missed by her brother Tony and her adored grandchildren Patrick, Gráinne, Niamh, Amie, Ben, Ellen, Micheál, James, Leah, Shane, Cáit, Luke, Abby, Finn and Ally, extended family and many good neighbours and friends.

Resposing at Clarke's Funeral home Bailieborough this Tuesday evening 13th January from 5pm-8.30pm. Bridget will repose at her home (H16WC78) tomorrow evening Wednesday from 5pm-8pm. Removal from her residence Thursday morning 15th January, arriving at St. Bridget's Church Knockbride West (A82W271) for Funeral Mass at 12 Noon followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

The death has occurred of Malachy Conway, Cornawall, Smithborough, Co. Monaghan, Tuesday 13th January 2026, peacefully in Cavan General Hospital.

Predeceased by his siblings Michael, Charlie, Mary, Frank, Larry, Tom, Briege, Alice and Liam.

Cherished and much loved by his nephew and neighbour Stephen and his wife Aideen and his great-nieces, Lily-Rose and Emily-Jane. Malachy will be sadly missed and remembered with love by his nephews, nieces, sisters-in-law Lily (Conway, Loughgall, Armagh) and Teresa (Conway, Tandragee, Armagh), extended family, friends, neighbours and by all who knew and loved Malachy

Predeceased by his beloved partner Kathleen Clerkin, parents Rose and James, his sister Phillis, his brothers Joe, Tom, Pat, his nephew Shane and niece Kimberley.

Mickey will be reposing at Clerkins Funeral Home Milltown, Monaghan (H18YF22) on Wednesday the 14th of January from 5pm concluding with prayers at 8pm. Mickey's funeral procession will travel along Plantation Road, on Thursday (15th) to arrive at St Macartan's Cathedral for 11am Funeral Mass, followed by burial in Latlurcan Cemetery. Margaret (Peggy) MC CONNON

Sreenty, Corduff., Carrickmacross, Monaghan

Peacefully, in her 95th year, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital Drogheda.

Predeceased by her brothers Frank (Sonny) and Peter, sisters Betty (Grant), Sheila (Greenan), Kathleen (Byrne), Vera (Hewitt) and Josie (Hughes). Deeply regretted by her nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

MAY HER GENTLE SOUL REST IN ETERNAL PEACE.

Reposing at the residence of her nephew Seamus, Sreenty, Corduff (A81YR12), her birthplace, on Wednesday evening from 3pm to 7pm. House private at all other times please. Removal on Thursday morning to arrive at St. Michael’s Church, Corduff for Funeral Mass at 11 o’clock. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Funeral may be viewed live on St Michael's Church Corduff webcam.
