The death has occurred of Saji Chirayil Surendran, The Drumlins, Virginia, unexpectedly at his home on the 14th January 2026. Sadly missed by his loving wife Shreelatha Sadanandan (HSE Virginia) and his loving daughter Aaradhya. Deeply regretted by his wife and daughter and a large circle of friends and neighbours in Virginia and surrounding areas and by his family in India.

Reposing at Matthews Funeral Home, Virginia (A82YV58) on Saturday from 2 o'clock until 6 o'clock.

Tommy Kelly

4 Carn Gardens, Clones, Monaghan / Phibsboro, Dublin

The death has occurred Tommy Kelly, late of Phibsboro, Dublin 7,and formerly of 4 Carn Gardens, Clones, Co. Monaghan, Friday 16th January, peacefully in Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by his family.

Predeceased by his loving wife Nancy, her sister Phyllis, his brother Stan, his sisters Maida, Pauline, Noreen and Iris.

Tommy will be sadly missed by his brothers Brendan and Leo, his nieces and nephews, including John and Adrian Kelly, the Cooke family in Clones, the Kelly families in the UK, USA and Australia and his wife's nephew Gerard, who cared for Tommy for many years, extended family, neighbours and many friends.

May Tommy Rest In Peace.

Castleblayney, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Bernadette (Bernie) McKenna (née McArdle), formerly of 5 Oliver Plunkett Park, Drumillard, and Henry Street, Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan, on Friday, 16th January, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at the home of her daughter Ann (McCooey), Drumganus Lower, Broomfield.

Predeceased by her parents Peter and Annie, husband Paddy, brothers Patrick, Leo, Mickey and Ronnie, sister Marie, and grandson Gavin.

Deeply regretted and lovingly remembered by her sons and daughters: Kevin (Eileen), Ann (Patrick), Siobhán (William), Chrissie (Mickey), Paul (Denise), Rosie (Nathan), John (Linda), Janette (Paul), Paudge (Kathy) and Thomas (Jamie Lee); brother Séamus; sisters Nora, Rose, Sheila and Angela; brother in law Tommy and Ruby McKenna, her 24 cherished grandchildren and 4 adored great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Bernie will repose at Wards Funeral Home, Castleblayney (A75NP30) tomorrow Saturday 17th, from 3pm until 6pm and at the home of her daughter Ann & Patrick Mc Cooey, (A75TY04) Drumganus Lower, Broomfield on Sunday from 3pm until 6pm.

Removal on Monday 19th from her daughter Anne’s residence in Drumganus Lower, Broomfield at 1:30pm to arrive at St. Mary’s Church, Castleblayney for funeral mass at 2pm, followed by private cremation at Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan.

Family flowers only please, donations if desired to Palliative Care C/o Wards Funeral Home or by donation box.

Raymond Treanor

Knockcor, Tydavnet, Monaghan

We are saddened to announce the death of Raymond Treanor, Knockcor, Tydavnet, Co.Monaghan, who passed away peacefully, on Thursday 15th January, surrounded by his loving family, following the exceptional care of the staff of Craigavon Area Hospital and Glenview Nursing Home, Cabragh.

Predeceased by his parents, Eugene and Annie Treanor, and his brother, Ollie Treanor.

Raymond will be sadly missed by his loving children Louise (Fergal), Patrick, Aisling, Mark (Lisa), and Ciaran (Michaela), and by his wife Olivia. His much-loved grandchildren Alyssa, Bella, JayJay, Dawn, Layla, Rayna, Croíadh, Cara, Áine, and Saorlaith.

Fondly remembered by his sisters Una, Bernie, Dympna, Mag and Monica, his brothers Michael, Seamus and Brian, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, extended Treanor family, neighbours, and by all who loved him.

Raymond's remains will repose at McMahon's Funeral Home, Emyvale, H18 FK80 on Saturday from 3pm - 8pm and at his home in Knockcor, Tydavnet, H18 T663 on Sunday from 2pm - 8pm.

Please note there will be a one way system in place entering from the Doogary side and a shuttle bus in operation from Eamon Treanor Engineering, H18 T223.

Funeral Mass on Monday morning at 11am at St.Dympna's Church, Tydavnet. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
