Man dies after 'medical incident' in Cavan
A man in his 60s has died after a ‘medical incident’ in Virginia Saturday morning.
Gardaí and other emergency services including the air ambulance attended the scene.
The man was taken to Cavan General Hospital but he was later pronounced dead.
It is understood the Gardaí are not treating the death as suspicious at this stage.
A Garda Siochana spokesperson said: “Gardaí and other emergency services attended the scene of a medical incident at Virginia, Co. Cavan today, Saturday 24th January 2026.
“A man, aged in this 60s, was taken to Cavan General Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased."
