James (Jim) Reilly

Athy, Kildare / Cavan

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James (Jim) Reilly of Athy, Co. Kildare and formerly of Moher, New Inns, Co. Cavan who passed peacefully at home on 6th February 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Betty, son Paul, daughter Michelle, son James, daughter-in-law Faith, son-in-law John, daughter-in-law Breifni, grandchildren Emma, Kayla, Amy, Christopher, and Tia, extended family, neighbours and friends.

May Jim Rest in Peace.

Reposing at Thompson's Funeral Home, Chapel Hill, Mount. Hawkins, Athy (R14 NX80) on Sunday, February 8th from 5pm - 7pm.

Arriving to St. Michael's Parish Church, Athy, for Requiem Mass at 11am on Tuesday 10th February. Followed by cremation service at Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harold’s Cross, Dublin (D6W HY98) at 1.45pm.

We regret to announce the death of Mary McCarron née Mullen, The Bungalow, Mullaghmore North, Tydavnet, Co.Monaghan, H18 NY76. Thursday 5th February, peacefully surrounded by her loving family.

Pre-deceased by her husband Peter, brother Jimmy and parents Roseanne & Peter Mullen.

Mary will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her son Ray (Tricia), daughter Jacquie (Kevin), grandchildren Ellen (Shane), Jack (Grainne), Elliott (Valerie), Calum (Cathy), Bradley (Katie) & Max, great grandchildren Seánie & Páidí, brother Peader, sister Roisin, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

May Mary’s gentle soul Rest in Peace.

Mary will be reposing at the family home at Mullaghmore North (H18 NY76) today Friday, from 4pm to 9pm and again Saturday from 2pm to 9pm, house private at all other times please.

Removal on Sunday morning to arrive at St Mary's Chapel, Urbleshanny, for 11.30am Mass, followed by burial in adjoining cemetery.

Family flowers only donations in lieu to Pallative Care team Monaghan/Cavan c/o Peter McMahon, McMahons Funeral Home, Emyvale or any family member.

Please note there will be shuttle buses in operation from Scotstown GAA complex & St Dympnas Church Tydavnet
