Which Cavan politician won the Late Late car giveaway?

A local Senator won a brand new car on the Late Late Show on last night.

Fine Gael's Joe O'Reilly won the Seat Arona worth over €30,000 on a phone in competition run by the RTÉ talk show.

The Bailieborough native answered correctly that the iconic DeLorean car featured alongside the characters Marty McFly and Doc Brown in the film Back to the Future.

As the credits rolled host Paddy Kielty spoke briefly to Senator O'Reilly, who admitted: "I'm in total shock".
