Blustery today with widespread showers at first, turning heavy in places with a chance of hail in moderate to fresh westerly winds. Drier conditions and sunny spells will slowly spread from the north through the afternoon as showers ease and winds veer northerly. However, heavier showers will continue in Munster. Highest temperatures of 6 to 10 degrees, turning much cooler by evening.

A cold, generally dry and clear night with isolated showers. Showers may turn wintry on high ground in the northwest. Turning cloudier in the southwest towards morning with patchy drizzle possible. Widespread frost and some icy patches will develop with lowest temperatures of -3 to +1 degrees in a light northwest or variable breeze.
