Cavan woman appointed President of Mallow Chamber

A trailblazing Cavan native has taken the helm of one of Cork’s most influential business representative bodies.

Joyce A. Good Hammond, a native of Plush, Cloverhill, is the daughter of Jean Good and the late Robert Good, has been appointed as President of Mallow Chamber of Commerce.

A solicitor of 20 years' standing and a Partner at Hammond Good LLP based in Mallow, she practices alongside her spouse, Richard Hammond S.C.

Mallow Chamber recently held an event to mark the passing of the Chain of Office, celebrating the transition in leadership.

Joyce takes on the role with a clear and passionate focus on strengthening local enterprise, supporting SMEs and fostering collaboration. She comes from a retail background, her late father Robert having founded G.T. Electric in Cavan Town more than 50 years ago.

The family-run enterprise continues to thrive today under the stewardship of her brother, Alvan.

Her appointment marks a proud milestone both for her family and for the wider community she now represents at the helm of the Mallow Chamber.
