€7.5M deal sends Cavan steaks to 26 European countries
The announcement follows Lidl Ireland’s procurement of more than €2 billion in Irish goods and services last year
Lidl Ireland has announced a major €7.5 million international supply deal that will see premium Irish steaks produced in Liffey Meats’ Cavan facility exported to Lidl stores in more than two dozen European countries throughout 2026.
The landmark promotion dramatically expands the reach of Irish beef across Lidl’s international network, growing distribution from 17 countries to as many as 26 markets during the year.
The premium cuts will be rolled out across Lidl stores in major European markets including Germany, France, Italy, Netherlands, and Finland, with each country hosting dedicated promotional weeks celebrating the quality of Irish beef.
Ballyjamesduff-based Liffey Meats is Lidl Ireland’s largest Irish beef supplier, ands has become a cornerstone of the retailer’s supply chain through a partnership spanning more than two decades.
