Countdown begins to annual ladies’ lunch
Excitement is building ahead of one of the most anticipated social events of the year, as the ninth annual ladies’ lunch prepares to take place on April 18 at Cavan’s Farnham Estate.
Organiser Ranjit Elliott promises a day packed with style, inspiration and heartfelt giving- all in support of vital local cancer support services.
“This isn’t just a lunch- it’s a full experience,” she said.
The event kicks off at 2:30pm with an exclusive reception before a sit down three course meal, and later a dazzling multi-boutique fashion show, following by dancing to music by Spring Break and DJ Gary.
Paul Cox and Louise Reilly will MC the event, with plenty of prizes to be won on the night also.
Among those showcasing their latest looks are Anastassia’s Boutique, Darlynn, Purple Orange, and Mr. James. Adding even more flair to the line-up is Shelly's Dress Hiure Boutique from Down, renowned for its specialist dress hire collections.
“It’s going to be an incredible display of fashion and creativity,” shares Ranjit.
But beyond the glamour lies a meaningful mission.
This year’s event is dedicated to raising funds for local cancer support services- in particular Cuan Cancer in Cavan- an organisation, Ranjit says, that does so much for people in need of help.
In just nine years the ladies lunch has built an impressive legacy. Last year alone, the event raised €34,500, while over the years it has generated hundreds of thousands of euro for a range of causes, including cancer charities and major healthcare projects such as the National Children’s Hospital in Dublin.
Behind the scenes, Ranjit is joined by fellow committee member and co-organiser Rosie Baker, with the duo leading the charge to make this year’s event bigger and better than ever.
“Every euro raised goes directly to helping people who need it most,” he said. “These services do incredible work.”
