Spot On Productions is a Monaghan‑based film, television and content production company that takes projects from first idea through to final delivery. Founder Grace Cotter is hands-on specialising in documentaries, scripted development and branded content, curating bespoke crews for each job and overseeing all stages of production and post-production. At present, Spot On is largely a one‑woman operation, but Grace collaborates with a trusted network of directors, editors and crew across Ireland, the UK and beyond. Over the next 12 months, her focus is on growing this team and building a dedicated post‑production base in Monaghan.
Describe the best thing about your service
The best thing about Spot On Production’s series is that clients get the entire production journey handled end‑to‑end by one accountable producer, instead of juggling multiple suppliers and hoping it all joins up. “I take projects from first spark of an idea through development, budgeting, crewing, shoot, post‑production and final delivery, keeping everything calm, organised and communication‑led,” says owner Grace. Feedback from clients is that they value having a single point of contact who they can talk to about finance, creative and tech with equal confidence. “I am on top of schedules, paperwork and deliverables, but I also protect the heart of the story and the tone of the brand.”
What’s the best business advice you ’ ve ever been given?
Know your worth! Treat my time and skills as the core product of my company and price them accordingly. Setting boundaries, charging sustainably and only saying yes to the right projects has helped me build a focused, resilient business instead of just staying busy.
What does the future hold for your business?
The future of my business is about people, projects and place. I want to grow a small, brilliant core team, expand a slate that balances client work with our own Intellectual Property and build a calm, positive studio space in Monaghan where creative people can thrive and stay local.
