Largely dry and settled conditions across both counties

Temperatures will be mild, reaching highs of 15 to 18°C

Saturday will bring largely dry and settled conditions across both Cavan and Monaghan, continuing the influence of high pressure over the country.

While most areas will stay dry for much of the day, a few scattered showers may develop and track northwards at times, though these will be fairly isolated and short-lived. There will be a good deal of cloud throughout, but this will be broken by occasional sunny spells, particularly during the late morning and early afternoon.

Temperatures will be mild, reaching highs of 15 to 18°C, feeling pleasant in any sunshine, with light winds ensuring comfortable conditions overall, according to Met Eireann.

On Saturday night, conditions will remain mostly dry with a mix of cloud and clear intervals. There is still a small chance of a passing shower, especially early in the night, but many areas will stay dry.

Overnight temperatures will drop to between 5 and 9°C in light, variable breezes, with some cooler rural spots possible under clearer skies.
